Oral sex and STDs symptoms

Hi, 8 days ago I received unprotected oral sex from a coworker, oral sex only (woman to man) and french kissing. After 2 days my penis head was itchy and slightly irritated, burning sensation when I pee..... so I took my STD test but before I got the result I panicked thinking of gonorrhea or syphilis and took Augmentin for 3 days. Now the tests are all negative but considering the window period for some STD, should I finish taking Augmentin as a precaution to get rid of the possible infection? Thank you.

I would stop medication, see no need for it. How long after symptoms did you test?

Hi Vance, thank you. I tested 2 days after symptoms, they are mild and  I am quite sure it's not syphilis, but still burning a bit when peeing. That's why I would finish with Augmentin, do you agree? What problems could I have by taking Augmentin if I have no infections at all? Thanks.

odds are this is a fungal infection. taking antibiotics only makes it worse. augmentin is well known to make fungal infections worse even.

self treating is never a good idea and your testing was done too early too for std's.

I agree, thank you. What kind of fungal infection?

This seems minor stuff though. I'm just gonna see my doctor and treat this symptom. Do you recommend taking tests again even when symptoms will be cured and disappeared?

you need to wait at least 2 weeks after the last dose of augmentin before any further testing.

Hi, I went to the doctor and all tests are negative. I still have mild itchy foreskin and anus, little burning when peeing, no discharge (after receiving oral sex only, for about 1 minute, 12 days ago). I told the doctor I took Augmentin, he laughed at me and suspects NGU or gonorrhea. Since I am leaving the city for a long period of work the doctor gave me Zithromax 2gr and Cefixima 400mg all in one dose. Then test again in 1 month.... Is this cure good for gonorrhea, NGU, chlamydia? Thank you.

By the way, another concern, if tests are really negative and I don't have any STD, would these pills hurt in any way? (I usually try to take less meds a possible).

you would need to discuss with your provider whether it's really worth taking antibiotics when you tested negative.

Well, sure, obviously his opinion is the above prescription, I wanted to know your opinion. The test is negative after 12 days, so as you said before it may not be 100% accurate or am I wrong. Would that prescription cure possible STD or would it hurt if I am negative? That's why I am in doubt. Please any help is appreciated.
