To many reasons to answer but the main thing is that the host "finger" is not ideal living environment so it dies very very very quick. As soon as air get involved thats it!

Yes, if the skin on your finger has no open cuts or breaks in the skin, finger all you want.

If you have cuts in your skin, there is a VERY small chance you could get herpes on your finger, plus if your skin is infected it's not good to introduce bacteria into her vagina.

You do not need to inspect your fingers with a microscope. If you have cuts that you can see with your regular vision, just use your other hand.

Yes, only herpes can infect the fingers. No other STD can.

The skin on your fingers is too thick for the virus to penetrate without cuts. So long as your skin doesn't have open cuts, you're fine.
