Test results

Hello I got tested for Std via the NHS in Cambridge  as I had unprotected oral sex with some sex workers something I hugely regret. It's now 2weeks and havnt heard anything the worry is getting to me, how long does it take. I only got tested for chlydima gonareah didn't have any blood tests

did you read our list of what std's to test for and when? if you only tested for 2 std's, you haven't done your testing all yet.

Rang and got my results everything is clear it's so important to get tested I can now get back on with my life :-)

you can give them a call since it's been 2 weeks. some clinics have the policy of we'll call you if you test + otherwise assume you are negative but that's not a good policy. be proactive and follow up on this yourself!!

when to test for what std's is listed in our read before posting post on the forum so you know what other std testing to have when :)

It takes some time for them to get around to your test results so it is possible they haven't gotten around to it yet. They will call you as they know you have concern in regards to the std testing. It usually takes about 3-7 days for 100% results for gonorrhea and chlamydia (the range of when results will be reliable vary within medical facilities across international locations). Gonorrhea is usually tested through either urine samples or samples taken from the tip of the ureathra.
