Ulcers on sides of the toungue

Hi,

I have small ulcers on sides of the tongue and it exists more than 9 months. These ulcers go away when i use an oral paste (oralT) and it grows again about 5 days after the day i used OralT paste. this ulcers are starting as a small white dot and spread around 1cm and it having white color margin around the ulcer. mostly this ulcers are grow sides of my tongue and they are so painful and give burning sensation. i had oral sex with a girl without having condoms im so much worry this ulcers are due to that unprotected oral sex. i had a HIV test(1,3,7 month after having oral sex) and herpese(3,7 months after having Oral sex) tests. result of all the test were negative. Im so confused why these ulcers not disappear from my tongue. appreciate if you can give advice to me. is this because of any STD infection.

I'm having the same problem as you after similar sexual encounter. I have tested negative for HIV 3 months after encounter. Got tested again at 4.5 months  for HIV, syphillis and herpes all negative. Doctor presribed steroid paste for tongue. When I take it the ulcers on the boarder of my tongue go away only to return a few days later. I am confident I am HIV negative but would like to find out what is causing these ulcers. If you are able to find out please let me know.

Not if you have tested negative.  Maybe you should see a dentist.
