Afraid if i have hsv!

Hello doctors i'm a 23 male who's scared of my stupid actions! i had two exposure one in November 18 and one recently on December 9 both were unprotected oral sex! And Protected vaginal intercourse both were sexual workers!
I'm worried about my second exposure the sexual worker was around her mid 40s so it probably was a high risk encounter couple days after i felt burning sensation on the left side of my scrotum but it could been anxiety because i couldn't see any open sores or bumps well today 11 days past exposure I woke up this morning and saw 4 or 5 really tiny bumps on the right side of my groin almost on that area where meet the thighs but the bumps were there and i believe the each one of them had a hair coming out of it, i started to mess with them and keep checking myself
I do have oral herpes you think this could be my initial outbreak for hsv 2 but it's less severe because i have hsv1?
or does this even sound like herpes?

i have been tested before and i have always been negative for hsv 2 so i'm really afraid the i just recently caught this because the  bumps appear 11 days past the exposure and they appear on the area is exposed!!!

Thank you

Dear Dr Hook, I'm not trying to be a pain in butt. The tiny bumps appear 11 days past exposure! And i check today and there gone its been 10 days since they appear does that make it more likely to be hsv2, I know it could be folliculitis because they have a hair coming out of it but what are the chances it could be herpes 2 I'm just really worry I wish my dermatologist saw them but how often you see a primary outbreak by the groin meets the leg thanks this will be my last question sorry for the extra posting.

Jock itch can cause bumps. In addition, what you are seeing could simply be normal, prominent hair follicles.  EWH

Good afternoon Dr EWH . I just want it to ask a couple more question i still have the tiny little bumps closed to my groin meets the leg but the only way you can see thin is if you stretch the skin that's why I think the doctor did not see them! Should I still be worry about hsv2?
Can jock itch causes bumps too?

Well doctor Hook I went to a dermatologist close to me. I told him about the rash and he said its jock itch on the groin and leg meets, he look at the bumps and he couldn't  see it! I ask him if it was a std and his statement was the I wasn't a std 99% sure.  You were right! I wasn't herpes simplex 2 thank you for the help you provide me! Merry Christmas!

I have already told you, the odds that this is HSV-2 are vanishingly low and should not concern you.

As i said before "I very much doubt that this is HSV however he only way to be truly sure is to be examined by a clinician who can perform a swab test (preferably a PCR, alternatively a culture) on the lesions."  EWH

Welcome to the Forum.  Since you already have HSV-1 (cold sores) you are not at risk for getting genital HSV-1 from receipt of oral sex- the immunity you have developed related to your cold sores will prevent you from getting HSV-1 again, even if exposed.  Acquisition of HSV-2 following oral sex, even from a high risk partner is very, very rare and should not worry you.

The bumps you describe are not at all suggestive of HSV.  HSV lesions are fluid filled vesicle (small blisters) not bumps and the location you describe would be an unusual area for genital HSV. On the other hand your description of the fact that there are hairs coming out of the bumps suggests that they are folliculitis, a common, non-STD inflammation of hair follicles  which you have become aware of as you have searched for lesions or symptoms.

I very much doubt that this is HSV however he only way to be truly sure is to be examined by a clinician who can perform a swab test (preferably a PCR, alternatively a culture) on the lesions. I recommend against trying to diagnose this with a blood test- they are not useful in this situation. EWH
