STD or Sporting injury

Doctors,
Thank you for taking your time to read my question I hope you can help.
10 days ago I had protected Oral and Vaginal intercourse with a sex worker while visiting Poland. I extremely regret this, it was a huge mistake and one I will not be repeating, as I have a long term Girlfriend. Unfortunately I was drunk but clearly remember a condom being put on my penis before anything took place, but because of my intoxication some of the event is fuzzy. I remember receiving Oral, for the most part, then brief Vaginal intercourse.
I am worried about possible infection so upon returning to the UK, 7 days after the event I visited the clinic for STD Tests. I am due to collect my results this coming Friday. I was confident all will return negative, until this Saturday when I started to feel a dull ache in my right Testicle. This Ache is still with me today, but to a lesser extent. My testicle also feels out of position and Higher than normal, no swelling.
On Thursday I attended an exercise class, we did a lot of Squats and Lunges, following this my hamstrings were very tight over the weekend (now ok). I wondered if my Testicle could be a strain from exercise but also read that it is a symptom of an STD. I have no other symptoms, no pain while passing water, no discharge, no lumps or bumps apart from the ache.
Can you advise if this is a symptom of an STD, or could it be a strain form a sporting injury?
My tests at 7 days, will my results be accurate as the clinic says they need to retest this Friday?
They have also taken a blood sample, which they will repeat in 3 months. I am concerned about HIV, but i have has seen posts which state a low chance of infection. Is this correct?
If my results return Negative on Friday do you think its Ok to continue to have sex with my Partner? Or should I wait until the results of the second tests which they will repeat on this Friday?
Thank you, I look forward to your reply.

The recommendation for repeat testing was referring to testing for HIV.  This is a conservative recommendation,  your risk is low. The HIV test you had however was not definitive because it was taken a few weeks before tests would be definitive.  On the other hand, a repeat test at 8 weeks would be defintive.  While I would not be worried and hope that you will not be either.  EWH

Hi Doctor,
An update for you, all tests came back negative as predicted. In your opinion should i have the blood tests redone in 3 months time as suggested by the clinic? Also pain in testicle has almost gone but still a little tender. Any thought on what this could  be. If not better by the end of the week will visit my local GP.

Thank you
Paul

Yes, 1 week test results will be completely accurate.  I see no reason for repeat testing.  EWH

Thank you Dr Hook for your reply.

Can I ask your oppinion about the STD tests. I have decided to have these for peice of mind. After 1 week will the tests be accurate for signs of bacterial STD, Chlamydia or Gonorrhea? The Clinic will re-test me on Friday, but could the results change?

Thank you

Welcome to our Forum.  I agree with the assessment you have made for yourself.  condom protected sex is safe sex with essentially no risk for STI.   Even if your exposure had been unprotected, it would have been low risk as most commercial sex workers do not have STIs and most sexual contacts do not lead to infection.  In your case, the use of a condom transforms a low risk event to a no risk event.  Further, in the absence of a urethral discharge, it would be quite unlikely for an STI, had one been present, to cause testicular symptoms.  I anticipate that your tests will be negative and see no medical reason for you to abstain from sexual contact with your regular partner at this time.  EWH
