Recently I was told i have genital warts. Well the doctor said I could wait it out or try the Podofilox.  Well i am currently using th medicine and this is the third day.  Well i have noticed that the warts have gotten smaller. I am just curious about thing. Does this normally work this fast or do I have a weak strain of HPV?

LOL feickus you moron, I think someone is just trying to provide you with some informative facts about the failure of condoms when preventing HPV or Herpes, it's almost impossible to "be careful" with someone because they most likely have something anyways if they've slept with more than a few people. Unfortunately abstinence is the only way not catch anything, but that's not much fun if you ask me.

Be careful how, astinence?  Condoms aren't a sure thing with skin to skin viruses like HPV and HSV.

Ok well either way the med is working really fast.  I didn't expect it to work so fast so hopefully after this they won't come back. I deffinatley learned my lesson from this whole experience too.

According to previous messages, the difference is not in the "strain" of virus, but rather in the reactions that people have to the virus.  Note that you've used the word "strain" which most people associate with the HPV serotype: your strain is probably 6 and/or 11 since it produces visible warts.  But all 6/11 strains are essentially the same.  (Just trying to repeat information from previous threads; I hope I got nothing wrong.)

Yes, warts can start to shrink within 3 days of the first podofilox treatment.  Alternatively, perhaps your warts were on the verge of resolving on their own.  I don't think there is such a thing as a "weak strain of HPV".

Finish the course of podofilox for as long as your doctor recommended.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD
