Can it be herpes?

Hi Dr.
A csw gave me unprotected oral sex (i am really dumb person)
After less than two days (cca 40 hours) i started to experience syndroms.itching in my penis very intense, very frequent urination, and a very mild burning..this symptoms last for maybe 8 or 10 hours then went away...after this nothing like ulcers, lesions, sores etc. developed (now its the fourth day)
My questions are 1. could this be herpes? what are my odds of contracting it from this experience
                          2. I red that it could be asymptomatic or with mild symptoms..I am asking that when i have only itching, burning (and other this prodrome like symptoms) it must always lead to blisters and sores? Or asymptomatic(nothing at all, no burning itching) or always sores, blisters will develop, from initial itching,?
                          3. is there any chance of contracting other std s?
                          4. and what do you think it could be with this syndroms, if not herpes?
Thanks for answers

Welcome to our Forum.  Oral sex is a relatively inefficient way to transmit STDs.  Of the bacterial STDs only gonorrhea and nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) are transmitted through oral sex and of all STDs NGU sounds like the most likely candidate as a cause of your symptoms (the discomfort, not the frequency) if they are related to the exposure you describe- the timing and symptoms are suggestive.  Chlamydia is not and without an obvious sore or lesion on your partner’s mouth, the chances of syphilis and herpes is likewise tiny.   Even if your partner had an STD (any STD and it is likely she did not), most exposures do not lead to infection.   Anxiety an increase vigilance can also lead to symptoms such as yours.  For this reason, testing is the best course.

Herpes is quite unlikely.  If your symptoms were due to HSV you would have also most likely developed lesions/sores on your penis as well.

In your case, I would suggest you go to your local STD clinic or health care provider to be tested at this time.  It is important that you be tested for NGU as well as chlamydia (many providers mistakenly think NGU is always cause by chlamydia- this is not the case.  EWH
