The reason that threads are left for all to see is that people will not need to see the information again. Trust me: all the information provided in response to questions about similar exposures also applies to you. Most important, since there was no vaginal or anal pentration and your oral exposure was protected (even unprotected oral carries virtually no risk), there is no realistic chance you acquired any STD, including HIV. Your oral contact with one partner's anus carries some risk of gastrointestinal illness, but not HIV. And there is no risk of HPV from this sort of event.
I recommend against HIV testing after exposures like yours. But if you need to know your test is negative for the purpose of convincing you I am right, it's fine with me. Otherwise, just see a provider if you get nause, vomiting or diarrhea in the next few days. Beyond that, there is no need for examination or testing, and no need to alter your sexual practices with your girlfriend.

I know what you mean. I'm just being OCD witht the whole situation. You're probably right, I just need to put it behind me and move on - more cautiously in the future.
Thanks
hi, i dont mean to sound patronising but it sounds to me the only thing that will reassure you will be a negative test result. If i were you i would get tested so this situation could be put behind me. good luck
Thanks so much for the prompt response. I have to say this is a great website and I wasn't expecting such a quick and informative response. I feel at ease after what you've said. Two final quick questions.
Would your response change if there was brief, i.e., 5-10, thrusts of penetration without a condom?
And lastly, my left testicle, feels tender, almost swollen. Pardon my ignorance, the tubes that connect to my testicle feel enlarged compared to the other testicle where you can barely feel them. Almost feeld like theres a blockage and the testicle and tubes are backed up. Any thoughts?
Thanks again,
Matt
