Discharge Help

Hi,

I have done 3 urine test and a culture in the past month.  Everything has come back negative.  However,  I am having a little bit of yellowish discharge.  The discharge happens only when the penis is erect (looks like it's acting as a lubricant slightly sticky) and if i milk the penis or when I wake up in the morning when I am not.  After ejaculating I have a burning pain that last for about 5 minutes.  The penis usually stays wet after.  I constantly open the lips of the penis and look in during the day.  Sometimes cloudy white discharge comes out, other times i think I see yellow liquid.

Also, I have been figuring out that I haven't been drinking much water for a while.  Lots of Sodas and lots of alcohol.  Would this have an effect on this discharge.  With all the test I've done they can't be all wrong, right?

I am a gay man, but still wondering if yeast infection is possible.
I have no itching (unless I have my laptop on top of me and I get heated)
When urinating 50% of the time i have a little burning only after its passed)
I have horrible aniexty because I had GC in November and was treated and cleared.

Thank you...i can answer any questions

Alcohol wold not trigger anything.  The appearance of normal gential discharges can vary. My advice is to believe your tests.  It is time for this thread to end.  Take care.  EWH

from what you said:
"From time to time it is normal for men to have small amounts of penile discharge from the prostate and other genital glands and this may be what you are seeing"

Is their any normalcy to yellow discharge from time to time from the penis.

I began to feel confident that I was not infected...

can this happen only when aroused?

Thanks for your help

Yes, other than the possibiltiy of trichomonas as mentioned above, if there was signs of inflammation.  EWH

Sorry...your answer was helpful...i accidently hit the no key.

From your answer though it seems like you believe I didn't get a urethral swab.  When I said I recieve a culture thats what I meant.  I had 3 urine test and a urethral culture and everything came back negative.

Since those all came back negative what other testing should be done and what are possiblities.  All the symtoms I've listed are the only ones i have.  Should i feel confident that I don't have an infection

Thanks for your help again

I think that, based on the discharge that you describe, that it is appropriate to be concerned that you might have an STD. If properly obtained tests are negative however, you can be comfortable that you do not have an STD.  From time to time it is normal for men to have small amounts of penile discharge from the prostate and other genital glands and this may be what you are seeing.  Certainly, the closer, more often and more vigorously a person looks, the more likely they are to see something.

My advice is as follows.  First, the urine tests you had should have been collected just as you began to urinate, not at mid-stream.  This is when the specimens are most accurate.  Second, if the urine is not detecting anything, I would go to an STD Clinic or other location where the providers are experienced at taking urethral (penile) swabs and have a swab taken for gram stain.  This should be done at a time when you have not urinated for at least one and preferably 2 hours before the test.  If that is negative, when considered with the other testing you've had performed, you can be confident that you are not infected.

Hope this helps.  EWH
