Welcome back to the STD forum. I'm glad to hear the NGU/CPPS problem has either resolved or at least no longer bothersome. (In response to a follow-up comment you had 3 months later on the STD community forum, I believe there is no medical reason nor any ethical obligation for you to say anything about it to your current or future sex partners.)
Unfortunately, however, the present question is HIV related and should have been posted on the HIV Prevention and Safe Sex Forum (see the prominent notice at the top of the page). In this circumstance, we generally answer briefly and don't respond to follow-up comments. The brief answer is that nobody has ever been known to catch HIV by fingering -- and since cuts on the fingers, torn cuticles, etc are very common, the absence of any known cases indicates that these factors make no significant difference. And the vast majority of strippers don't have HIV anyway. There also is no significant risk for any other STD.
In other words, don't worry about it. Happy new year-- HHH, MD
Thanks for the reassurance.
As for the NGU/CPPS problem; I still have some irritation but not so bad that it limits any activity. No treatment really helped; time seemed to be the best healer. I eventually had to decide that I couldn't let it bother me mentally anymore. Also, later sex partners didn't develop any issues so that was a great relief too.
