Engaged Man, Bachelor Party - Very Scared

Hello Dr.,

At my bachelor party 8/2 I received a private lap dance from a stripper. She grinded on me for a while to the point that she seemed to actually orgasm. She stuck her hand up my shorts pant leg to adjust my penis into a different position on two separate occasions & may have touched the tip of my penis. That was the only contact made & happened twice, no sexual acts. I am unsure if she had any vaginal fluids on her fingers when she touched me though, but she had been rubbing her vagina during the dance both on top of &  inside her thong. The next morning I woke up & my penis had a slight discomfort & or itch towards the tip. I have not noticed any discharge or burning during urination, but I think the tip could be slightly red. I notice that when i open my urethra there seems to be a stickyish fluid inside but not a lot and nothing that is seeping out or discharging. I went to a walkin clinic at the hospital on the morning of 8/4 & the doctor that saw me stated that this type of contact/exposure was not the type or enough exposure to contract chlamydia or gonnorhea, so she just ran a standard urinalysis. This was my first urination of that day.  The urinalysis results were negative for everything and the doctor showed and explained to me that there were 0 white blood cells in my urine so there could be no infection. I am writing to ask you if this is accurate? I have read though that chlamydia doesnt even show up on tests that screen specifically for it for 2-3 days let alone a standard urinalysis.Through this type of event what are my chances of catching an STD? Could I catch HIV like this if i caught an STD?  I am exceptionally scared right now that i have caught something. I love my fiance more than anything on the planet and i am terrified that something has happened that could put our dreams of children etc, in jeopardy. Thank you for your attention to my situation/fear, it is really appreciated.

J

Thank you for responding Doctor.  For arguments sake say that when she touched my penis she had vaginal fluid on her hands and she touched the tip/head of my penis, would I still be at no threat for an STD or HIV?  Sorry I just did have a little bit of burning during urination today and I'm freaking out.  Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum. You have nothing to worry about and do not need further testing or therapy.  There are no STDs that would be transmitted by grinding or touching of this sort.  What you experienced falls into the category of masturbation and masturbation is safe sex.  I suspect the irritation and moisture you have noted were the consequence of the irritation of having your penis vigorously rubbed during the lap dance and nothing more.  I would not worry - at all.  EWH
