Sounds entirely normal. See a provider if you remain uncertain. I have nothing more to say and will have no further comments. Please accept the reassurance you have received and move on.
After closer examination I can tell that a lot of these white bumps do have little white/blonde hairs sticking out of them. They kind of look like the hairs/feathers that you see sticking out of chicken skin. However, it's just on one side... Thinking back, I somewhat remember looking at this before, but im not too sure. It might be because I'm not keeping it trimmed as well as I used to because of all of the stress I've been under.....
What do you think?
Once again, thank you so much for your help!
As to whether hair follicles can be more prominent on one side of the penis than the other, it doesn't sound likely but I suppose it is possible. If the doc who did the STD testing examined you and thought your penile skin looked normal, then almost certainly it is normal. If you are unconvinced, get examined again.
This is an STD forum; I have no comments or advice about relationship issues. But whenever a person him/herself believes s/he might benefit from psychological care, almost certainly s/he is correct.
Thank you so much. Just to make sure, is it normal to have more hair follicle spots on one side of the penis than the other?
To add, I also went to my doctor about it and had a gonorrhea and chlamydia test- both negative. I plan on gonig in a couple of weeks to get one of those oral rapid HIV tests and then to get blood drawn for HSV differential at the end of November.
I was really thinking the same thing in that I would have remembered pretty well what happened or I would have been gone for a lot longer than 5 or so minutes. I beleive I am thinking into things too much and recalling things I said during a sexual encounter with my girl friend a few months ago while we were inebriated.
The thing is, my gf and I just moved far apart for school and I've been going out with some friends and drinking and dancing with girls. My gf doesn't mind, but it is starting to bother me that I do it. Then I'm just making up stuff like having sex in public places which seems too far fetched. I have made an appointment to meet with a psychologist about this issue that I'm having and hopefully I can get some help with my anxiety and stress because no matter how many times my friend tells me I didn't do anything, I still have been having anxiety attacks.
You describe no symptoms that suggest herpes or any other STD. And if you don't remember having "random sex" with someone, almost certainly you did not -- no matter how drunk you were. Your symptoms mostly suggest normal body sensations that seem more prominant than normal because of your anxiety about all this. Most likely the white spots indeed are hari follicles, or normal sebaceous skin glands -- which are easily seen on anybody's penis.
If you remain unconvinced about my reassurance, see a health care provider to examine you and perhaps consider STD testing. But it would be extremely surprising to find out you have any sort of STD or other infection.
I hope this helps calm your nerves. Really, I see no worries here.
Best wishes-- HHH, MD
