HSV 2 concern

I am 30 yrs old male and foolishly had unprotected oral and anal sex with a girl I met 9 days ago. She said she was not aware of anything and that she had been tested in December. According to her, the only person she had been with previously since her testing was someone she dated for 6 months. In any case, I requested she be tested, which she hopefully will next week. I had been tested in Feb. negative for all HIV, HSV 1& 2, Chlam, Gono, Syph, HPV.

My concern is that, 1-2 days after our encounter, I noticed clear discharge with no smell, but not sure if this was just normal discharge ( from urination/masturbation, previoulsy i had discharge from infection/enlarged prostate) and I was over analysizing or due to catching an STD. The discharge stopped 3-4 days after encounter. Moreoever, I noticed a single whitehead pimple like raised dot, not unlike the harmless papules, on the under part of my penis, just below where the the tip begins. It does not hurt, has not broken, or seeped. It feels like a granule. There are no others like it around it yet. In fact, I am not even sure if it was there before or not. I don't think it was because it is not clustered with papules.  The other concern is a white rash that occurred 4-5 days or so after encounter. it is in the right groin area, not unlike where jock itch occurs. I have had this exact same rash before and it was diagnosed as fungal. I am hoping its because it was laundry time and I had gone out for all nighters not wearing underwear or the same underwear for 3 days.

Except for the granule/pimple I have had these before and would not be alarmed if not for my foolish encounter. Hopefully the girl will get tested as she said she would and all answers will be settled by this Friday but I am going crazy in the meantime. I am going to my urologist tomorrow to see what he says but in the meantime, what do you think?

I agree with your that seeking care from a family member is rarely a goo idea.  You need to talk with someone who deals with these issues regularly, i.e. your local ST Clinic. EWH

Welcome to the Forum.  It is not normal to have a discharge for several consecutive days in the manner that you describe. Thus if this is what happened, my suggestions would be to go see a health care professional who can test you for STDs including NGU (this is typically done with microscopic examination of material collected by a swab from the penis).  It sounds like this was one.  Asking and having your partner checked is also a good step and between the two sets of tests (hers an yours) you will know if you have an STD or not.

The bump you describe on the underside of your penis is likely a normal gland or what is called a "pearly penile papule"- both of these are normal an might have been un-noticed until you started to check yourself a bit more closely than normal. It certainly does not sound like herpes.

I suspect there is little to worry about. Please let us know what your tests show and what the doctor says. EWH

Got second opinion. He popped the pimple I was concerned about and said it was nothing. Used vinegar test and mangifying camera to look around and said nothing to worry about for the most part since nothing turned white except for a a tiny little dry spot on shaft that formed bet. yesterday and today and i painlessly scratched off. I never really noticed it, but it did turn white but he still said nothing to fuss about. Regardless i asked if biopsy would be possible so tomorrow we will likely do that and he suggested surgically removing the Papules i have surrounding lower part of tip. I  just want to get biposy to be 100% sure nothing is anything.  Dr. gave me cipro and a bunch of other stuff for discharge.  I would rather know disgnosis before needlessly taking med but oh well.

So we'll see.... thanks for all replies. I will keep posted. Thankfully girl who i had unprotected sex with finally went to get tested today. Hopefully all clear when results come back Thursday-Friday.

So my urologist, who is also my uncle, looked at the pimple and said it was nothing after just looking at it but I am not convinced. The following day, my father, also a doctor, asked after much prodding on my part if it is contagious, and he said yes, stating the best thing is to burn it off. I am not an expert but none of this seems like proper procedure to even see what it is. He says it's a virus, a wart of some kind and that if i burn it off all will be well, but I am not convinced.

I think in the future it is best to see none family doctors, or friend of family doctors as they tend to not be thorough.

Any suggestion? What should be the procedure? I mean, before burning anything off I would have thought it better to at lease open up the pimple and get a culture of whatever is inside it.

One to 2 days is rather soon for an STD to appear but it could happen.  As I said, you should be tested.

I look forward to hearing what your doctor says.  Nothing more to say until then.  EWH

Thank for the prompt response.
Do you think the discharge would appear so soon after an exposure (i.e. 1-2 days after exposure) The fact the discharge stopped  in a 2-3 days, does that  offer indication of anything?

I certainly hope the little bump is one of the papules, except that I have papules and know them from before this looks different and actually seems to be losing its white color and is less noticeable.  Do Papules come and go?

I will ask the MD tomorrow testing for any pertinent tests avaialable and will keep you posted.
