You're using different words to ask the same questions. I'm not going to repeat myself.
Levaquin would prevent or abort gonorrhea, chlamydia, or NGU. It would have no effect against HSV, HPV, HIV, or any other virus.
That will be all for this thread. Please accept the reassurance and move along. I won't have any further comments or advice.
Thanks Dr HHH. So no chance of any STD other than hsv or hpv which you say for practical purposes there no risk?
I also started a 14 day treatment treatment of Levaquin 500 mg once per day for something else 3 days after my exposure. Would that treat
any bacterial STD if there was one?
If you want a 100% guarantee agaisnt HPV and HSV, I cannot give it. But in 35 years in the STD business, I have never seen a patient with HPV or herpes that was acquired by hand-genital contact. It's one of those things that theoretically could occur but probably never does, or so rarely that you can ignore it. You can safely continue unprotected sex with your regular partner. That is what i would do if I were in your situation.
There is no risk for all practical purposes. Don't overthink it.
Thanks for the response Dr HHH. You say absolutely no risk of any STD from this activity. Does that include hsv and hpv? Really want be sure I don't give my girlfriend anything and don't want to worry about this.
Welcome to the forum.
STDs are not transmitted sexually unless a bare penis (i.e., no condom) is inserted inside another person's vagina, rectum or, rarely, mouth. You are at absolutely no risk, regardless of how she used the massage lotion. You do not need to be tested and can safely continue unprotected sex with your regular partner.
