Welcome to the Forum. The exposure you describe was very low risk for acquisition of any STI and the chance that your current symptoms are due to that exposure 10 weeks ago is just not a realistic possibility. While neither doxycycline nor levofloxacin are recommended therapy for gonorrhea, in many cases they would cure the infection in the very, very unlikely circumstance that you had been infected.
At this time, I would suggest that you see your own doctor for evaluation of your symptoms. Further self-medication or just guessing what might be happening without testing is not a good idea. There is little or no chance that they are due to your receipt of unprotected oral sex 10 weeks ago. EWH
I guess the real question is could I have contracted gonorrhea and passed it on to my partner while I was on suboptimal treatment for gonorrhea, cleared the infection and then get re-infected by her in that interval. She has no symptoms.
No, the scenario you describe is not a realitic possiblity. EWH
Thank you so much for the response.
I have one last question. If I received gonorrhea from the CSW through receiving oral sex, I obviously do not know her HIV status but what do you think my risk is for having contracted HIV from that encounter? Do you think I should be tested? Should I not have sex with my partner until I am tested?
This is a a"what if" question that does you no good whatsoever.
There is no evidence that HIV is acquired through receipt of oral sex. You need to relax and not dwell in the past worrying about things that did not happen. EWH
