You may have had true prostatitis, but if you did, it probably was not due to an infection. But prostate examination is very imprecise, so this information does not change my opinion. In any case, your problem clearly is not an STD -- and that's the only topic for this forum. My advice remains that you follow up with direct evaluation, preferably by a uologist. Good luck with it.
thanks doctor, but I did get an exam and the doctor said my prostate was boggy and he found a place in my testicles that when he pressed on it I had a lot of pain
CPPS can occur at any age. You are young for true prostatitis but as I said, I doubt that is the problem.
Welcome back to the forum.
Since you have consistently had condom-protected sex, it is not a realistic possibility that your pelvic pain/prostate problem is due to an STD; and in any case, no STDs cause the sort of pain you describe. STDs also do not cause prostatitis.
As the urologist told you 2 years ago on the Urology forum, and as I suggested at the end of our discussion at that time, your symptoms are most consistent with an emotional origin. My belief is that you have chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS), which is often (usually? always?) the result of genitally focused anxiety. I further suspect you never had an infectious form of prostatitis (regardless of the apparent improvement of symptoms with Levaquin).
I suggested 2 years ago that you read up on CPPS. Did you do that? If not, this is the time to do it. Here are a couple of links that should help. I'll bet that as you read about the symptoms, you will find that your match up very well.

In any case, this clearly is not an STD problem. Any connection between your symptoms and your sexual exposures is psychological, not the result of any infection. If your symptoms continue or you remain concerned, seek medical care, preferably from a urologist.
Good luck-- HHH, MD
