HPV Genital warts
Just want to say thanks for the website. So here is the situation. I am a 26 year old male and Roughly 10 months ago i had unprotected sex with someone i knew but not that well. Dumbest thing i have ever done in my life.
about 5 months after it happened i sat down with the girl and told her we should both go get tested for everything. She agreed and explained a little of her history. Prior to this episode 10 months ago, she had previously not had intercourse for a year and had previously been tested that year before because of issues with a previous boyfriend cheating on her. and she was clean for everything(HPV test, HIV, etc). She and i got tested anyway and we both came up clean.
About 4 months ago I had been playing golf in hot weather and had 3 growths on my inner thigh. One was just below my scrotum and one was in the skin folds near where my thigh meets my crotch right in the groin area, again below my scrotum. All were skin colored, soft to touch, no pain. one was oval at the base, flat at the top, and stuck straight out of the skin about half a tumbnails length, definitely longer than wide. The other growth on the fold of skin was tubular in shape, skin colored, soft, and was probably 1/8 or less in in diameter and 1/4 inch in length. I freaked out and ripped them off and they bled. One grew back a day later and i ripped it off as well.
Another possible episode about 3 weeks ago, i had what looked like a dead flap of skin on my scrotum, I pulled it off and it started bleeding below it. it was small, white colored, a few millimeters wide and twice as long. Looked on some internet pictures of genital warts, couldnt find anything that matched.
Ok, So i'll summarize my questions now.
1. I am an idiot and had unprotected sex, with a woman who has no signs of anything, has had no signs of anything in approximately 2 years since her last encounter. what are my chances of genital warts?
2. Do the growths i described above on my thigh and crotch match the description of genital warts? Or something called a skin flap? can you get skin flaps from the environment(i.e. i was rooting around in the weeds looking for my golf ball).
3. Growth(hopefully dead skin) on scrotum possible genital wart?
4. If these are not warts, and i show no symptoms, should i be telling future sexual partners about these problems, other than telling them that I have previously had unprotected sex.
5. What is the growth rate of genital warts. do they appear overnight?
6. Any word on male version of Genital Wart/HPV vaccine availability? seems like this could beat the nasty forms of HPV if they would make it widely availble.

Genital warts in men occur very predominantly on the penis, rarely the scrotum--and I have never seen them on the thighs. Therefore, I doubt you have warts, but I cannot make a specific diagnosis of anything (or be certain against anything) by online description. If you are concerned, see a health care provider.
1) There are no statistics on the frequency of warts after any single sexual encounter.
2,3) None of the skin problems you describe sounds like warts. Skin tags are normal anatomic variants. You don't "get them" from anywhere; they just develop, generally with increasing frequency as people age.
4) You don't describe anything that sounds like an STD, so I doubt you need to say anything to your partners. But as I said above, seeing a provider is the way to know for sure.
5) Warts grow slowly, typically appearing over several weeks. How soon they are noticed depends on how closely someone looks and how likely they are to notice small, early warts.
6) There will not be a separate "male version" of the HPV vaccine; it's just a question of the FDA approving the current vaccine for use in men. It probably works fine, but research studies in men aren't complete. But there is no restriction on being vaccinated now; your provider can prescribe it any time. (But insurance won't cover it until approved by FDA, so be prepared to pay at least $500.00.)
