HPV distress
I am a 37 year old male with no serious past health issues. About a year ago I dated a women in whom I eventually went on to have a relationship with and I eventually had unprotected sex with. Even while we were having protected sex she would often bleed while engaged in certain positions and after my symptoms I recalled that at one point she had indicated that she had dsplaysia but was in the process of getting it resolved. It was just never explained to me properly and again I never researched it until months later.
Roughly about 5 months ago I noticed a stalk maybe about 1/4" on the tip of my penis not only on the glans about 1/4" to my urethral opening. At that point I realized that I may have an hpv infection. At that point I went the sex clinic. At the clinic the doctor never really say yeah or nay as far as an hpv infection and she never really removed the remainder of the stalk. She prescribed me aldra and sent me on my way more worried than anything else. Since then I have noticed other lesions. Apparently I have one of those types of infections where the lesions are nearly invisible.
1.Will the warts themselves be cleared as well or are those to say until you get them removed?
2.Will procedures like cryo-therapy remove the small legions invisible type lesions over the entire glands?
3. Are there levels of infection associated to this virus (mild moderate, severe)? and how can you tell if you the have high or low strain of the virus.
4. Who would be predisposed to get penial cancer, or even for the growths to grow or spread? Immune suppressant individuals or can this happens in even immune competent individuals?
5.Generally how long will it take for a typical infection to clear of symptoms, not the virus? Months, years, decades…never?
6.Since I saw clinical ministrations of 2 different types of warts are these 2 different strains or can the same strain cause various types of warts?

Your rambling repetitive explanation of your problem suggests that this is creating a lot of anxiety for you. I will try to answer your questions. In addition however, please search "HPV" and warts" on this site as many of the questions you ask have been answered.
Why do women get the disproportionate focus? Because they get most of the serious disease. Only the smallest fraction of persons with HPV get cancer and the fraction of men who get cancer of the penis from HPV is orders of magnitude smaller than the portion of women who get cancer and precancerous lesions.
AS for your warts, if you do not want Aldara or chemicals, the best thing to do is see a dermatologist who can freeze, laser or excise the lesions. Any of these are one step processes which will end the problem of the visible warts.
Penile cancer. Best detection is self inspection. A persistent (months) abnormality should be seen by a dermatologist for diagnosis and therapy. Persons are increased risk are those who are immunosuppressed, those who are uncircumcised, and those with multiple partners (and thus multiple, recurrent infections). That said, only the smallest proportion of persons with any of these so called risk factors will go on to get cancer.

it was thank you. I just have never delt with anything like this before and am just utterly terrified. I'm 5 months in and I am just going to work on my immune system and treat the lesions if they dont go away, change or get bigger. It doesn't sound like there is much else that I can really do.
What is frustrating me is that everyone is just so non claunt about this infection in males and everything is geared towards women and the problems assocated with them. I can not get a clear answer and even the dr i ended up seeing was a woman. I am not saying that I want a male doctor to treat me, but I figure he would know more about it and the male body!! I really dont want to use aldara. I really havent heard anything good about it and I have also ready that it usually comes back...actually it comes back after ANY treament. Would you yourself either recommend or even prescribe aldra for a mild condition or symotoms of something lie mine?? Is it helpful or can it cause more harm. I know you cant see but from what you have read does it even sound like its mild, or is it a runaway to disaster!
Anyway one last thing. To assit my body at this time, I have been boosting my immune system as well as using vaious topicals. At first I just applied aloe and that actually seemd to slow or even stop the spread and has remained in that stat since...not growing but not going away either....just there. I developed a hypersensitity to aloe so I discontuned and started applying a topical mixture i came up with of vairous vitamen and essetial oils and garlic. Mainly Vitan A, E, C, tee tree oil if for nothing else to ease the free radical celss from permantly destroying my tissue and I am hoping that this may actually aid in my healing. The later I have just started doing. Is this all for not? or will it actually have an effect on the rate of healing.
On a side note and this may be irrelevant, but I have also noticed a large amount of mole growth all over my body. These are the freckle type moles, in which they aren’t raised but more like light brown to dark patches up to an including 2 on the soles of my feet and a couple on the top, 2 on my penis shaft, some on my shoulders and chest. I noticed most of these mole especially the ones on my penis around the same time. I am not sure if the 2 are related, but figured I would mention it.

i am on the verge of information overload and need some answers to ease my mind if nothing else.

I maintain a high diet in fruits and vegtiables and try to take care of my body as much as possible. In short I am a somewhat healthy male with a compentant immune system.

Me not questioning it and my own ignorrance about the subject just ignorded it and figured it was just a pleatreau of various "woman problems" that I really didnt want to know or care about knowing. It was just never explained to me properly and again I never researched it until months later.
