Low Risk Exposure

I had posted a few years back for similar, and you were very helpful. A few weeks ago, I noticed some skin condition, difficult to describe. Strips of lightly shiny skin without pain or itch. It dried and flaked away. Did not seem like herpes in any way, and Terri RN agreed. It came back in a few different spots  a week later and is resolving again, within a week.My exposures in the last 90 days were three. Masturbation from someone's hand with their saliva, rubbed his penis on mine for 10 seconds, and then I stopped it, rubbed my penis with my boxers on against his bare buttocks. These seem low risk and skin condition doesn't match any std's I can find. No burning or discharge, didn't look like herpes sores, no fluid or scabs, could be contact dermatitis for all I know.Seems like it is gone, but I have stared at it so much I cannot tell anymore, kind of losing my mind.

Does anything make you suspect an std? Can you rule each std? Seeking reassurance. Were these low risk/no risk exposures?

Certainly there is some variability in the appearance of HSV lesions but again, the lesions you describe do not sound like any HSV lesion I have ever seen or heard of.  I really would not be worried.  EWH

Thank you for your reassurance. It is greatly appreciated and respected.

The only thing that I feel like I need to follow up on is that I probably did not describe the lesions well, as it is just difficult to describe. I have looked at many pictures of a herpes sore/blister and it does not resemble one of those. They were like stripes, maybe 2 or 3 like an equal sign.
Therefore, I wonder if there is much variance in what a herpes sore/blister would look like or are they really just very similar and typical of the internet pictures? Clusters of pimple-like sacs that erupt and crust over?

Again, thank you for al your reassurance. My anxiety has been reduced significantly as a result of your and Terri's opinion.

Welcome to the Forum. I reviewed your recent interaction with Terri and agree with her assessment and advice.  The exposures you describe are virtually no risk for HSV or for any other STI and the lesions you describe sound nothing like any manifestation of HSV I have even seen or heard of.  I see no reason for concern.

I also think that it is important for you to find out what this is.  There are many dermatological problems  which can cause recurring skin conditions and many approaches to management, depending on what is there.  I would suggest you see a dermatologist.  It is not an STI and a dermatologist can help you sort it out.   EWH
