Dear Doctor,
I know that you get a lot of questions, and I appreciate your consideration in answering my question.
I had vaginal intercourse with a man 2 weeks ago. The penetration was only about 3 minutes before I stopped the interlude, and there was no ejaculation. Most likely there was pre-*** involved. He went for STD testing yesterday, at my request. He had the swab culture done for Chl and Gonn, and blood testing for STDs and HIV. His last unprotected sexual activity was early October 2007 and his last protected sexual activity was November 2007. If his tests come back negative, is that enough time to assume they are conclusive and for me not to be tested? If I should be tested, how long should I wait (I know on HIV I would need to wait atleast 3 months and again at 6 months), but for the other tests how long before I could test and be assured in my results?
I was treated for a UTI 3 days prior to our time together, and about a week after our time together my vaginal area became very red and irritated and the discharge has changed some. I took a home UTI test and it was negative and I took a PH Level home test and it tested 4.5. I did an over the counter yeast infection treatment this morning. There is no itching just a burning/irritated feeling in the entire area. Not sure if this is something to be worried about, something minor that my worries are making worse, or what.
Thank you for your help.
