Thank you so much Doc, Your expertise is very much appreciated!
Yes, 3-4 weeks is more than enough time for nearly all STIs to cause symptoms if they were going to. And yes, the symptoms most liely to occur would be painful urination and a penile discharge. EWH
Thank you so much. One last question:
So even with the latest encounter being 3-4 weeks ago that would still be long enough to get symptoms?
So the symptoms I would have gotten are the painful urination and discharge is I had contracted something? Be it Clamydia or Gonorrhea or anything else similar?
Welcome back to the Forum. I hope that I can be helpful to you and provide some guidance. The exposure you describe was very, very low risk for acquisition of any STI and I can assure you that the symptoms that you describe are not related in any way to the activities that you have described. I say this for a number of reasons which include:
1. Your exposure was two months ago. If this were related to that exposure we would have expected symptoms far sooner than this.
2. The symptoms of STIs do not come and go but a typically present and, if anything tend to become more prominent over time.
3. It would be unheard of for the symptoms of an STI to occur first on one side of the body and then, later on another.
4. Your symptoms are not typical of symptoms associated with STIs.
As to what this might be, that is more difficult for me to say. As i read about your problems, I wondered if this might represent a muscular strain of some sort. If so, use of a minor anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen or naproxen might help. the most direct way to address this problem is to see your own doctor for evaluation. I would not however worry about this being an STI.
Take care. EWH
