Need Help/Advice

See my prev q for the background..  Visited a strip club and got a couch dance.  No sex other than kissing her breasts with my tongue.  Two weeks ago, I also started having testicular pain and went to the same doctor.  They told me that I had a bacterial infection and prescribed oflaxcin, doxycycline and azithromycin.  They prescribed the medication without doing any urine/blood work.  I looked up the web and realized that i was diagnosed for gonorrhea and chlamydia.  The pain has since subsided and I had no discharge from the penis or any of the other symptoms associated with the penis (reddening of the penis, discharge, buring).  I am about to finsh my medication and now If I am feeling an occassional burning within the penis and it goes away.  I am worried that the infection has not gone away and it will relapse.
Q2: I am planning on getting tested for HIV and all STD's so I can go on with my life normally.  Is there a chance that I would have contracted other STD's based on what I have described?
Q3: Should I go through the complete testing now or should I wait a week.  I am wondering how long the antibiotics stay in your body after you finsh the final dose.
Q4: Is the white tongue by any chance related to gonorrhea or the medication I am taking?
I am a happily married man with kids and I feel that I have done this to myself for 5 minutes of fun.  I have not had sex with my wife for over a month and I have kissed her only once.  I am worried that she is now feeling that I am betraying her.  I love her dearly and the only thing I am doing is to ensure that she does not get it from me.
Q4: Do I need to get her tested proactively because I kissed her?
Q5: I am trying to be careful around my kids and washing my hands repeatedly.  Is there a chance that I can pass this to them through touch or drinking from the same glass? I am really worried for my life and I never realized a strip club would do this to me.  Please advise ASAP.

See earlier comments. If you are concerned see your physician.  Since you have already had negative tests, further tests will almost certainly be negative again unless some other, non-STD problem has occurred. That does not mean that your doctor might not give you antibiotics however, just to avoid having to argue with you about the meaning of the tests.   EWH

I understand your comments about anxiety.  Something is just not right.  I continue to have the burning sensation of the urethra and the urge to urinate more often.  Over the last 12 hours the burning sensation is more pronounced.  I still don't have all the test results back.  Being the weekend, I am not sure what to do without going to the emergency room or an immediate care center.  I don't want to ignore the symptoms and have it lead to other issues.  Please advise if I should go back to my primary care physician.  Do i need an urine analysis done outside of what I have already done for STD testing?  Do I have urtethritis since the first episode invoved severe abdominal and testicular pain.

See  my earlier comments.  I predict your tests will be negative. This may well be a manifestation of anxiety if there are no objective findings to suggest otherwise.  EWH

It has been four days since I am done with medications and now i am starting to get a burning sensation in the urethra, around the penis head and I also have uncomfort around the testicles.  I am really concerned as to what is going on.  I did go for the complete STD tests and waiting results.  So far it has been negative for most of the STD's.  Please advise.

No harm.  Just realize theat you are getting tested for your peace of mind, not because there is a medical reason for doing so.  NO reason for HIV concnern either. EWH

Is there any harm getting tested in a week?  I just want to put this behind me.

what about HIV? Is there any reason for me to be worried about it?

Welcome to the Forum.  You did not need to ask this as a new question but could have asked this as a follow-up to your original question in the space provided.  Each time you start a new question like this you are charged again.

First let's discuss the encounter and then I will address your questions.  The symptoms that started almost immediately after your exposure are not due to an STD. I say this with great confidence.  STDs are not spread by kissing (other than oral herpes/cold sores and there is nothing to suggest this has happened) and secondly and even more importantly, there are NO STDs for which symptoms begin immediately following sex.  Typically it takes 48-72 hours for STDs to become symptomatic.  That the irritation you noted might have been something on the dancer’s body is possible but even that seems unlikely- it lasted longer than such an irritant would have.

We do not recommend treatment without testing.  That this occurred is between you and your doctor but when this happens it sometimes leads to other problems like drug side effects for instance.  That said, you did receive broad spectrum antibiotics which would have been predicted to cure virtually all bacterial STDs so, even if it were possible to get STDs through kissing (I repeat, it is not), they would have been cured by the medication you took.  With that as background, let's address your questions:

2..  there is zero chance of getting STD from the exposure you described.
3.  If you had an STD (which I am confident is not the case) testing at this time, when antibiotics are still in your system is not a good idea.   The tests are more meaningful a week after completion of antibiotics.
4.  The whiteness on your tongue is not gonorrhea.  It could be related to the medications you have taken, including thrush which is a fungal overgrowth of the fungus which normally lives in your mouth but can over grow in persons who have been on lots of antibiotics as you have (if it is thrush, your doctor can easily treat it and it cannot be transmitted to others) .
4. (the 2nd time).  No.  I would not have recommended testing at all following this exposure.  There is no need.
5..  No, no reason for concern.  you are not at risk for STD and neither are your kids.

I can understand you may feel guilty or otherwise anxious about the experience you describe.  Please try not to worry.  There is no risk for STD from this.  Hope my comments help.  EWH
