A dermatologist's advice based on direct exam is much more accurate than my judgment could ever be. I'm sure he is correct.
Time tend this thread. Take care.
doctor, i forgot to ask. Can a wart grow under the skin? (im not asking under the fold of skin, but really under the skin, like under skin of middle penis shaft) i have had something inside the skin of my penis, it's like "something" grew back in November inside it (and i still have it now), i can feel it if i touch my penis.
been to dermatologist but he said it's just "fat". Considering most doctors in my country seem dubious, i want to know your opinion. is it true a wart can't grow to under the skin (and always to outside)?
Thank you so much doctor for your answer. I didnt touch any of the warts at all, so i couldnt know if I chose to touch them or lightly try to pop them out, they would flake off. What i did in the morning was just taking shower and went to the clinic directly. By the time i put down my underwear, one of them had just gone, and that's it. The rest 3 were treated by the clinic.
Despite from their appearance they looked so similar with my previous warts, just that i wasnt convinced, so i went to the clinic. You are right though because my previous warts, usually they cant be popped out (too solid). I assume this time it wasnt wart, thanks!
16 months isn't unusual; and in any case, as I said, I'm not convinved you still are infected.
You understand most or all the important background information about HPV and warts. I'll just say I am somewhat skeptical the recent new bumps were warts at all. Self diagnosis is often not reliable, and if a health professional wasn't certain, it's a good bet they weren't warts. To your specific questions:
Warts cannot just fall off or be scraped away in the way you describe. However, certain wart-like conditions (e.g., seborrheic keratosis) can do so. I'm not sure what you read -- but most likely it was simply that when warts resolve spontaneously, they often do so quite rapidly -- one day they simply are not noticed. When that happens, no redness etc is left behind.
My advice is to find a dermatologist the next time you have a suspected wart and let him or her know the full history. This might be a case in which biopsy would be wise to determine whether you have warts or something else. In the meantime, my best guess is that you in fact do not still have your wart virus infection.

Also doctor, i have been living with HPV for 16 months now, do u think one day it'll stop recurring? I know we need to wait a little bit longer (24 months), but considering most people can suppress their HPV within a year or less, im very depressed because it's been 16 months and half! :(
