HIV transmission through Cunnilingus at a massage parlour

Hello Doctor,

I had been to an exotic spa (sexual massage parlour) two days ago in toronto. I performed cunnilingus on the woman massuse for about 15 minutes and she did a hand job following that. There was no sexual intercourse or kissing of any kind. I also have to mention that i have a tooth that is slightly protruding inward and brushes with my tongue
which gives me feeling that there is a bruise but i often check in the mirror and i have never ever noticed
blood or a cut in that region. It was a stupid mistake i made and have been worrying since the time. I called up the local HIV awareness centre who told me that they do not want to rule out the fact that risk is zero to minimum. I have been reading all the notes posted in the forum and Dr. HHH reinstating that there is no risk.I have not noticed any extra ordinary symtoms, but the awareness centre also told me that nothing would be seen untill two weeks in the case of STDs and i have to wait for three months for a HIV check. I have lost my sleep since the exposure incident and i am unable to work. Please help me. The dificult situation here is that i cant even talk about this with anyone i know. Considering that the woman was hiv+ , is there a chance the virus would have transmitted.?
IF there is a cut on my tongue which is too small to be visible, what would be the case then? Please help me..
What are the tests that i have to take for the STDs and hiv and at what intervals. ? Please do not ignore
my concern and kindly help me.

Unfortunately, this forum is strictly limited to issues about STDs other than HIV; the HIV prevention forum is where this should be.  Therefore, my responses will be brief.  Lots of information is available on the HIV forum that should help you out.

You are far more worked up about this than necessary.  There has never been a reported case of HIV transmission by cunnilingus, in either direction.  That doesn't prove it can't happen, but it means the odds are exceedingly low, and you aren't likely to be the first known case.  The presence of unrecognized cuts, bruise-like feelings of the mouth, etc don't make any difference.  (If you don't know whether or not there was a cut on your tongue, there wasn't.)  In other words, there was no signficant risk even if your partner had HIV -- and if you're in the US or other industrialized country, it is very unlikely she is infected anyway.

Other STDs are very rarely transmitted by cunnilingus as well.

So you don't need any STD or HIV testing on account of this event.  Of course feel free to seek testing if my words aren't sufficiently reassuring and you need the negative test results to help get you past your fears.  If so, visit your local health department STD clinic and follow their advice.

There is no point in further discussion.  There is nothing you can add that would change my opinion or advice.

Regards--  HHH, MD
