Oral sex and std's with sore on penis. please help.

Hello Dr. I know you have lots of posts already in the forum about oral sex and std's, but my question is a bit different. here it is:
Im a 27 year old male, and 3 days ago I had oral sex practiced by a 18 year old female which I dont know and im not sure if I will ever see again, she practiced oral sex on me for about 2 minutes tops, and I started to get paranoid, and immediately stopped. I really got paranoid because I had 2 pencil tip open sores below my penis, just in my shaft which did come in contact with her mouth and saliva when she was going down on me.  I did not notice any open sores in her mouth, but I am very worried, and cant stop thinking about this.  I have felt ok and no problems down there, the only thing i have felt is overall heaviness, but I do not know if this heaviness  is because of my anxiety, or depression I have.  I live with my wife and I have a son and I am worried I can transmit any std's to her, or that I could have something myself, I have avoided sex contact for the last 3 days due to this.

could you please let me know if i should worry about this? and what do you recommend.  I appreciate your help.

I have had oral sex tried on me by girlfriends in the past. I am now seeing a type of small bump on the bottom of my penis near my pubic hairs. I am unaware of what it is?

DEAR DR. H,

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ADVICE.   WE GOT OUR VDRL AND HIV TEST RESULTS YESTERDAY AND THANK GOD BOTH OF US WERE NEGATIVE. I DO UNDERSTAND THAT WE SHOULD HAVE A HSV-2 BLOOD TEST PERFORMED. I AM SURE MY CUTS WERE THERE BECAUSE I MASTURBATED, AND I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY SORES AS DESCRIBED IN THE FORUMS AS HERPES 2, I ALSO ASKED THE GIRL THAT DID ORAL ON ME IF SHE HAD ANY SIGNS IN HER LIFE OF HERPES 2, BUT SHE SAID SHE HAS NEVER HAS NOTICED THIS IN HER LIFE NEITHER. ANYWAY JUST TO BE SURE I UNDERSTAND WE HAVE TO GET TESTED.  I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS.

1. SHE ALREADY PERFOMED UNPROTECED ORAL SEX 7 DAYS AGO FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES TOPS.
IF SHE, OR I HAD HERPES 2 IS IT TO LATE NOW. DID WE ACQUIRE HERPES 2 IF WE HAD IT?
2. IS IT SAFE TO HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX NOW THAT WE GOT OUR VDRL AND HIV RESULTS NEGATIVE?

NOTE: I HAVE NOT HAD ANY SYPTOMS ONCE SO EVER AFTER THE UNPROTECTED ORAL SEX. IT HAS BEEN 7 DAYS AGO.

I BELIEVE THESE FORUMS ARE A GREAT ADVANTAGE FOR PEOPLE BECAUSE I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE INCLUDING MYSELF THAT ARE SCARED OF ASKING OR GOING TO SEE A DOCTOR AND THIS ONLY EXPOSES MORE PEOPLE TO A SEXUAL RISK.  THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP. I WILL FOLLOW YOUR LAST ADVISE IN HOW TO PROCEED.  BEST REGARDS.

All I can do is repeat my primary advice:  Herpes is the most common cause of genital sores, even in people who believe the sores have other causes.  Next time the penile sores appear, get checked for herpes; or have an HSV-2 blood test.  Until then, I cannot tell whether or not you are "doing OK".

DEAR DR. H,

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANSWERS.  ME LESIONS HAVE HEALED ALREADY HEALED, YOU CAN BARLEY SEE WHERE THEY HEALED IN A  MORE WHITISH SKIN COLOR BARELY NOTICEABLE. I CONTACTED THIS WOMAN AND WE BOTH WENT THIS MORNING TO GET A VDRL, AND HIV TEST. WE BOTH WERE IN AGREEMENT TO DO SO.
WE SHOULD HAVE OUR RESULTS LATE THIS AFTERNOON, AND I HOPE WE ARE BOTH OK.

PS: I HOPE THESE TEST WE DECIDED TO DO ARE OK. SHE ASKED HER GINECOLOGIST WHAT TEST SHOULD WE PERFORM AND HE SAID THE ABOVE. ARE THESE TEST ENOUGH TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE?
I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY SIGNS IN MY LIFE OF ANY TYPE OF STD'S, NOR GENITAL WARTS, OR HERPES. HOWEVER I HAVE HAD HERPES ABOUT 5 TIMES IN MI LIPS DUE TO COLDS IN ALL MY LIFE, OR FEVER, BUT NOTHING IN MY PENIS.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I AM DOING OK?

To my understanding syphilis is extremely rare between heterosexual partners, especially in regards to oral.  Clamydia is very rare with oral sex, HIV is near zero as well.  Gonorrhea and HSV are the risks involved with oral, and even there the risks are low.

Dear Shesix8976: I do understand your comments. Im sorry to hear what happened to you, but im glad your baby will be ok.
It is incredible how 2 minutes, or a oral sex can change your life. I will get tested. Do you know how much time I should wait to get tested for all the std's you mentioned:
gonorhea(most common)
claymidia
herpes
syphilis
etc...
Also, what type of test should I take.
Tomorrow will be 4 days since the event...
Thank you for your comments.

Just because you do not have symptoms doesnt mean you do not have  a STD. From receiving unprotected sex you can get gonorhea(most common) claymidia, herpes, syphilis....HIV is very rare and considered low risk when it comes to oral sex. If I were you go get tested for all STDs, it will help esae your mind.

Dear Ryn21:
Thank you for you comments. I really appreciate them.
Now we only need Dr.H answer me with his experience.

The pencil tip cuts I had when the oral sex was performed are really what worry me, because all the questions in the forums about unprotected oral sex are not to worry about. and im sure this 18 year old girl is sexually active even though she has a baby girl.

Dear: ryn21

The cause of my 2 lesions is for masturbating. Everytime I masturbate the prepuce seems to get these type of lesions where my fingers touch my skin, and everytime I pull back my prepuce the cuts seem to open again and they do heal after 3 days or so.
I have been in a 6 year relationship and have not had unprotected sex with anybody else than my wife.
I just would like to know now that my lesions aren't herpes or any std's, just normal cuts made by masturbating if I should be worried. you Mention that if I do not have pain when urinating during the next 10 days all should be alright. could you please let me know what I could of cought with this oral sex I recieved?
Is it safe that I have sex with my wife? Im to concerned. I know it was stupid, and that is why I stopped the activity ( oral sex ) as soon as I Could.

For now everything seems normal. my penis feels the same, and color is the same, the only thing I feel different is that im depressed and I cant stop thinking of this stupid moment, and Anxiety.
This forums is great! I know that every experience is different and that is why i need your opinion.

Ps:I hope Dr.H answers me soon.

Please let me know.
Thank you All

I'm kinda in the same situation...My fiance says he let a total stranger perform oral sex on him..him being a male, she a female...well he got gonorhea and before he new he had it we had unprotected sex 3 times so I got it and I am 7 months pregnant! Baby will be ok thank god. Hopefully he is telling me the truth that is wasnt more than oral....From what I have read on here and everwhere else cuz its driving me insane is that the risk is very low when it comes to oral sex. I was tested at 6 days after last exposure to my fiance and will be tested again at 30 days...GOOD LUCK

First of all, what is the cause of these two "pencil top sores"?  If it is herpes or if you're not sure, then you made a bad moral decision even letting this girl perform this sexual act while these sores were there.  If you are unsure of the cause of these lesions, then I would be more worried about you transmitting something such as HSV to her rather than her transmitting anything to you.

First of all, any act of unprotected oral sex carries a risk too low to even calculate for most STDs.  Unless you develop a discharge or painful urination within 10 days after your exposure, I dont think there is any reason for worry.  In the meantime I would probably get to a derm to determine the cause of these lesions.  Now wait for the docs response.

My first reaction is to be more concerned because of risks to your partner than I am for your health.  The most common cause of genital ulcer is herpes, and you may well have exposed her.  I see from the posts before my reply (below) that you attribute your lesions to trauma from masturbation.  Maybe so, but I nevertheless suggest you get herpes checked out; and in the meantime, maybe do your partner the favor of trying to locate her and tell her of this possibility.

In terms of the risk of transmission to you because you had open sores, if they were directly exposed to your partner's oral secretions, there probably is some increase in STD risk.  That risk is are so low anyway that I really wouldn't worry about it.  Of course get checked if your genital sores don't heal promptly or if you develop other STD symptoms in the next couple of weeks, like discharge from the penis or new genital lesions.  Or if you remain nervous, visit your healthc are provider or your local health department STD clinic for examination and reassurance.
