Paranoid NGU

I posted earlier and and all advice was very good. Ruled out any warts. My last question, is if I should rule out NGU based on my experience?

Would the azithromycin, biaxin, or Erythromycin clear it up if I had it?

would it have cleared up on its own after the several months?

I only ask b/c its the only thing I didn't test for, and seems to be a culprit a lot. I am so paranoid and focused on all areas that I think all are signs of burning.

thank you very much, and I agree...lol. funny how this stuff takes over your life. I appreciate the anwers. I was just curious on the zithromax from skin allergey I took. and all I read about one major does to clear things up. also you can read online how NGU can be silent, so then I get anxiety again.

Of course you are "Just looking for peace of mind."  But searching the internet about symptoms, when you have already been ressured by experts, is exactly the wrong way to go about it.  Let it go and move on with your life.

Welcome back. However, I really can't help.  Dr. Hook ended your previous thread in part because you were continuing to worry irrationally despite his repeated, reasoned, science-based reassurance.  And now you're re-asking quesitons that he already answered.  Accordingly, my replies are succinct and we won't have any follow-up comments or discussion.

A mild burning or hot feeling with urination, which clears up with water intake, are normal sensations in many men.  It is not a symptom that suggests NGU or any other infection.

1) If you had NGU at the outset, the azithromycin would have treated it effectively.

2) NGU probably almost always clears up on its own well before 8 months, probably usually within 3 months.

Please note MedHelp's rule to prevent domination of the professionally moderated forums by anxious users -- a maximum of 2 questions every 6 months (see Terms and Conditions).  No more on this forum, on any topic, before next September.
