Risks of Infection

Hi Dr.
Thanks for the website. It is trully unique and may G'd bless you. I am a male 38 had protected sex (Vaginal with condom). Gave cunnilingus (some rimming) and recieved fellatio unprotected. The woman was a prostitute in Florida. Had a bad cough for a week two full weeks after the incident. No symptoms other than the cough and feeling tired the first 3 to 4 days of the cough.
I am not scared but just needed your response. If you feel tests are unnessesary I will forget about the whole incident.

Thank you

If you're referring to HIV risks, this question belongs on the HIV/safe sex forum (see instructions above).  But since you don't say which diseases are on your mind, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and allow the question to stand.

The risk of any STD from the exposures you describe was too low to require testing for any STD.  The symptoms you describe don't suggest any STD.  All this applies as well to HIV testing and symptoms.

Yes doctor i was reffering to HIV as I had no other worries. If your opinion is that no testing is required I will put the incident behind me. Thanx and sorry about posting in the wrong place.

May G'd bless you
