Welcome to the forum. Responding preliminarily to the question as posed in the title, before reading anything else: I cannot imagine there is any significant risk from such a brief oral-genital exposure.
Now I have read it all. My initial belief is unchanged.
2) I'm answering this first, since it is of course the primary issue. As I said, such a brief superficial exposure probably carried no STD risk. There are no data, of course; this has never been studied. But based on the biology of the STD bacteria and viruses, and the fact that oral infections are localized in the throat and not lips and tongue, this really shouldn't be a problem.
1,3) I see no need for testing and therefore cannot suggest a time frame.
3) Not applicable; see no. 1.
4) No STDs are transmitted by hand-genital contact, even if sexual secretions are used as lubricant. Nobody can say it is impossible, but we never see such cases in busy STD clinics.
I hope this helps. Take care-- HHH, MD
Five weeks is fine for just about all STD testing, and definitely so for gonorrhea and chlamydia. It's just a tad early for syphilis and HIV antibody testing; 6 weeks (definitely not 6 months) would be better. However, the chance of any STD is so low from analingus or mutual oral that if I were you, I wouldn't get tested at all.
Hello,
I am reposting this follow-up question since I have not gotten a response. I understand you might be busy so here it is again...
Thank you so much for your answer. You have put my mind at ease. I do however have one question regarding the STD test I took. (I hope I can post a follow up question).
The last sexual activity I had prior to the test was 5 weeks prior (mutual oral and anilingus on me), 4 weeks before (oral and anilingus me giving it). Did I take the STD test too early?
I made a post on the Community Forum regarding STD test time frame and according to answer I got, I believe the longest was syphilis with a 6 month wait. Based on the sexual activity mentioned, should I test again in due time?
I am still feeling well and I am happy about that. Thank you!
