No STD is likely to be the cause of an itchy rash of the feet or anywhere else and most likely this has nothing to do with your recent chlamydial infection or any other STD. However, there are two remote possibilities.
Rash on the palms or soles can occur with syphilis. Typically it doesn't itch or burn, and usually would be associated with rashes elsewhere on the body at the same time. Syphilis is rare in most populations of the US and Europe, with only about 20,000 cases per year in the entire US -- with most of those occurring in gay men. I doubt syphlis is the problem, but a syphilis blood test would be a good idea to be safe.
Second, there is a condition called reactive arthritis, which used to be called Reiter's syndrome. Sometimes the arthritis component is not prominent, maybe just some low back pain, for example. Another symptom of RA sometimes is a horny rash that can appear on the soles of the feet. RA often is triggered by a chlamydial infection. However, the rash of RA is not burning and I doubt this is the explanation.
Bottom line: Most likely the rash and burning have nothign at all to do with your recent chlamydial infection or any other STD. But if the symptoms persist -- and especially if you also have rash elsewhere on your body, or if you have prominent back pain or swollen or painful joints -- definitely see a health care provider.
I hope this helps. Best wishes-- HHH, MD
No STD causes such a problem, so I have no special advice. See a health care provider and do not request a specific test; just describe all your symptoms and follow his or her advice.
