Red Spot On Penis Head

After I was masturbating with a lubricant about a month ago, I noticed a small red spot on my penis head. Then it got larger (about 1/4 in long and 1/8 in wide). It is not painfull to the touch or otherwise. No blister or scab has ever formed. But I still have this single red spot, and it won't go away. It is smooth, not evevated as far as I can tell. When I was maturbating (about a month ago as I said), I noticed some debris on my hand within the lubricant. Perhas this was an irritation, I don't know.

I have been very concerned about this: I was tested for syphillus, ghonorea and clymidia (excuse spelling errors). All came back negative.

I am hoping that this is just an irritation, but I am concerned about genital herpes. I did recieve oral sex from a girl I was seeing about 3 weeks before the red spot appeared.

Everything I have red on-line says genetal herpes causes sores or blisters, which are painful, eventually form a scab and go away within 7 to 10 days. I have had this red spot, which is not painful, for a month. No blister or sore.

Could this be genital herpes?

Thanks very much for your input.

Can you clarify please?  Has the red spot been there for the entire month, perhaps fluctuating in size or has it come and gone?  The reason I ask is if it has been there continuously, it is certainly not herpes.  It may be some other dermatological process. There are many sorts of rashes and other dermatological problems which commonly occur on the penis.  At this point, my advice would be that it is probably best to seek an evaluation from a dermatologist.  In the meantime, you can be comfortable that it is almost certainly not an STD.  Hope this helps.  EWH

The red spot has been there the whole month; it does not come and go or even change size. Thank you.
