Risk for protected oral and questionable vaginal sex with hooker

I went to the massage parlor yesterday and very foolishly, got oral sex with a condom for about 30 seconds to 1 minute by a hooker, then she climbed on top of me and inserted my penis (which was half limp) slightly into her vagina and she did a few pumps (total duration no more than 6-7 seconds). Due to the limpness of my penis I'm not sure if my it even went into the vagina, but I know it at least scraped the outside layer of the vagina, protected, of course.

After those few seconds I ejaculated inside the condom which didn't appear to be broken but I don't know the quality of condoms they use at a shady place like that. After that she took the condom off and wiped my penis and her vagina with some alcohol cleanser type napkin/moist wipe (is this a bad sign that she's infected?).

Something I'm worried about is actually the quality of the condom and whether it had a rip in it in the first place. Since I am in China I'm afraid that the condom that the hooker gave me was questionable in quality/build/brand and could increase the risk.

On my way home I felt slight aching and burning sensation in my penis and testicles, and I am very worried that this is an immediate sign of some type of infection. It's been a day and when I pee there's a slight burning sensation in the penis/urethra.  I have a few concerns that has gotten me very worried:

1. What is the risk of contracting AIDS and other STD's, such as herpes, Chlamydia, Syphilis, and HPV?

2. Should I be worried about discomfort in penis and testicles?

3. Should I get tested? If so, when, and how?

Welcome to the Forum.  I'll be happy to address your concerns.

First and foremost condom protected sex is safe sex.  If a condom was used throughout the sexual encounter and does not break, then the person is protected from all STDs.  Your condom did not break.  If it had, you would know it since when condoms fail they break wide open, they do not just "leak",  Thus your exposure was safe and did not put you at risk for STD.  There is a small chance of getting HPV from such exposure but it is low (condoms protect partially for HPV).

Further, there are no STDs in which the symptoms occur in the first 24 hours following sex.  It takes longer for the infection to get started and build up to the point where symptoms occur.

My advice is to not worry. there is no medical reason for testing.  I hope my comments are reassuring. EWH

This will be your last answer.  The symptoms you describe are those of a cold, not ARS.  Detction of lymph nodes can be challenging- physicians train for a long time to do this. the lymph node swelling of early HIV is widespread over the body, not just under tha jaw and in the neck as occurs with sore throats.

You are worrying too much. EWH

In the past 2 days I've had a persistent cough with mucus and well as runny nose with thick mucus, but the fever I mentioned basically subsided within 1-2 days, should this be something that I should be worried about? Would I know or feel it if a lymph node was actually inflamed?

The ARS can be manifest as flu-like symptoms however nearly everyone who has flu-like illnesses has some other cause such as a non-HIV, non-STD viral infection.  Since the exposure you described was NO RISK, I am confident that is the case for you and that the timing of your illness is co-incidence.  Further, the symptoms you describe do not line up well with those of the ARS, which I will not go into here.

Finally, HIV is NOT spread through kissing. EWH

Doc,

I have one last question that I want to address.

In the past 2 days, I've developed flu-like symptoms - sore throat and slight headache, fatigue, runny nose, and a slight fever, but no rash or sore lymph nodes (from what i can tell). Can this be indicative or ARS?

Also one week ago I kissed a girl of an unknown status, includes tongue to tongue - is it possible to get HIV transmitted through kissing?

Thanks

A month later- most unlikely.  EWH

Hi Doc,

a month later and I am starting to feel a tiny burning sensation when I pee, and also it feels like the urethra is a tiny bit blocked (i need more force when ejecting the urine) and when I look at my penis, the color of the opening of the urethra seems redder than usual, but no discharge or pain, or other signs on the greater penis itself.

Could this be indicative of an STD, such as gonnoreah or Chlamydia, or anything else?

Thanks

If the condom covered the head of your penis it was reliable.  Please do not worry.,  EWH

Thanks for the detailed response. I have one small concern is that she put the condom on for me, what if the condom did not completely cover the penis shaft, meaning that it might have covered only 3/4 from the tip?
