You can test for STDs such as gonorrhea nd NGU at any time more the 3 days following an exposure and expect reliable results.
Based on the exposure you describe there is not need for you to be concerned about having gotten HIV, thus no need for testing related to that exposure. EWH
Also based on the exposure would an HIV test be necessary?
Thanks for the feedback. How long do I need to wait in order to get the testing that you mentioned? It has only been 5 days and I have had no symptoms.
Welcome to the Forum. Since you say nothing about your ex, I will presume that she does not have any unusual or marked risks for STDs and that you are asymptomatic (how long ago was the exposure you mentioned).
In general, the risk of any single sexual exposure (oral and/or vaginal) to a new partner does not carry great risk for STD. Most people do not have STDs and most exposures to infected persons do not lead to infection. Thus I suspect your risk for infection is low.
If you are concerned, I have two suggestions-
1. You may want to ask your former GF is she had been checked for STDs reasonably.
2. If you are concerned, you may wish to seek testing for the common STDs. By this, I mean testing for gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU. This can usually be one with a urine test or a swab specimen taken from your penis.
