Risks of Herpes Exposure for DR.HHH

Hi Dr.HHH

On jan 3rd week  of this year,I had drinks and sex with a African American women in Las Vegas.I had condom but i did not notice when it came off.I am uncircumcised and ejaculated.

After a week ,i guess i remember my body is very hot.I checked my temperature and it is 98 to 99.A month back my hands were feeling itchy and peanus feels itchy.It gone after 4 days.

From past 2 weeks i have little swollen left neck  and little swollen beside collar bone.I have nose running when i eat spicy food, have sore throat (little bit burning in throat) and from past 2 days i am having difficult to breath at some times and lost appetite because of depression.

I just talked with doctor and he told that HIV is negative,Syphillis is negative,chlamydia is negative.I am somewhat relieved.

Doctor did not get results for herpes.Are my symptoms show that i can get Herpes.

Please advice

There is nothing whatsoever in your story to suggest herpes in any way.  No testing for herpes is required or recommended.  If your symptoms are troubling you, go see a health care provider for evaluation of the cause.  It is not herpes.  EWH.

I did look at the web site and I note that they do not tell us which tet they are using. There is a "point of care", rapid test for herpes available-whether they use it or not I cannot say.  There is little to suggest that you have herpes to start with.  This test result seems to suppoort my opinion.  Hopefully now you will move on.  EWH

Hi Dr.Hook,

Just a last question.I went to Herpes test at one of our clinic.They gave results in 15 mins and the hospital is http://californiastd.com/.

I was tested negative for HSV2.I am assuming this result is accurate.

He did not test HSV1.When i asked that doctor he told that 90% of people have HSV1,he askedme not to worry about HSV1.Should i worry about HSV1.

As you told not to worry about the Herpes,but i have to make sure because if i have communicable disease then it is difficult for me to stay in USA as i am from other country.

You need to stop worrying and move on.  You did not get STD from the exposure you described.  EWH.

Some what relieved.just a quick question.I have to get it tested for HPV also?Some said that this is most spread STD.

I had red pimple (dont know is it lesion) with pus on upper part of lip (Mustache area and near to upper lip) like 3 weeks back.It appeared at the same place this morning.I hope this is not herpes symptom too.

These are my 4th month results after exposure.I guess i should safe with the remaining results.
