STD/ Hiv

Five days ago I had sex with a stripper, with a condom. The sex did not last longer than ten minutes. She kissed the tip of my penis if anything, and I performed oral sex on her vaginally and anally for about a minute tops. I would like to access my risk level please ! I have no physical symptoms, as far as I can tell.

Welcome to our Forum.  I'll be pleased to comment. The events you describe are very low risk for any STI and no risk for HIV.  Most commercial sex workers do not have STIs and most exposures to infected partners do not lead to infection.  In your case, your highest risk exposure, vaginal sex was condom protected and therefore safe sex with no need for concern of for testing.

It sounds as though you did not receive any meaningful oral sex and your performance of oral sex on her was low risk as well. If you choose to be tested the only test I see a need for is a throat test for gonorrhea (chlamydia does not occur meaningfully in the throat),

I hope these comments are helpful. EWH

Thank you DR, as part of my paranoia, I will have to ask again about the possibility of HIV ? Can you further explain the gonorrhea risk and if it is curable

Furthermore DR, I completely trust your respected insight but I must comment on differing views out there on the web ? Can you explain this discrepancy ?

1. The Internet is full of misinformation.

2.  No meaningful risk for HIV.

3.  If you have gonorrhea, which is unlikely, it is readily treated.  EWH

The early detection for HIV test is pretty pricey DR, you say there is no need correct ?
