I have unprotected oral sex 23 days ago, with a lady perform on me. Recently i encounter some skin rashes on the back of my body, while discover a small tiny pea size of small lump on the skin of the scrotum. As per  diagnosef rom local doc, he said that  it should be hair follicle.  He cannot ensure me whether i am STD related, however recommend me for STD screening. He provide me some oral antibiotic

Question 1. What type of std can cause skin rashes and hair follicle ?  Can i be syphilis ? I do not emcounter any  the first stage but it seem like i have the second stage sumpton "skin rashes".
Queation 2. Am i high risk to contact with STD or HIV with unprotected oral sex?

Please advise. Thanks.

No, pelvic pain is not a sign of gonorrhea or NGU.  Gonorrhea and NGU , like other STDs typically occurs within a few days of exposure, not after 23 days (as I said before!)  EWH

Hi Dr,

I think u might miss out one of my question, when will gonorrhea and Ngu occur after the exposure ?

Last question, is pelvic pain part of the sign of gonorrhea or NGU ?

Thanks.

I sex no need for further testing.

If you had an STD, the only way you would transmit it to family members is with sex.  I would not be worried in your case however.

Gonorrhea and NGU would be obvious and are easily treatable.

Yes, I see no reason related to the events you described to abstain from unprotected sex with your wife.  EWH

Thanks for the previous feedback.

Do you recommend me for any std testing as per my mentioned sympton ?

Is STD contagious to my family ?

For gonorrhea and NGU, when will it occur after exposure ?Are both curable?

Can i continue my unprotected sexual activity with my wife?

Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum.  The encounter you describe from three weeks ago was low risk for any STD.  Few STDs are spread through oral sex and when they do it is typical for them to cause symptoms sooner than at 23 days.

In answer to your specific questions:
1. What type of std can cause skin rashes and hair follicle ?  Can i be syphilis ? I do not emcounter any  the first stage but it seem like i have the second stage sumpton "skin rashes".
Folliculitis is not an STD. Folliculitis occurs when the follicle, where the hair comes out of the skin, gets plugged up, allowing normal skin bacteria to grow and cause skin bumps.  Alternatively, the white bump you see could be a benign cyst, also not an STD.  Both folliculitis and cysts are common on the scrotum.

This does not sound at all like syphilis or nay other STD.  23 days is too early for a skin rash due to syphilis to occur.

Question 2. Am i high risk to contact with STD or HIV with unprotected oral sex?
Oral sex is an inefficient way to transmit STDs.  Of the bacterial STDs only gonorrhea and nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) are transmitted through oral sex; chlamydia is not and without an obvious sore or lesion on your partner’s mouth, the chances of syphilis and herpes is likewise tiny.   If you had gotten gonorrhea or NGU you would have most likely developed symptoms of urethritis (penile infection) such as a penile discharge or burning on urination.  Even if your partner had an STD (any STD and it is likely she did not), most exposures do not lead to infection.

I hope these answers are helpful to you.  It is unlikely that the white bump you describe or your rash is due to any STD acquired from receipt o oral sex 23 days ago.  EWH
