Really Need Help

Just over two weeks ago, I saw a Korean (I think ) massage CSW.  She gave me oral sex, as she did not have a condom she used plastic wrap ( yes, I know I asked about this two weeks ago on the HIV forum).  As a I mentioned in my last thread on the HIV forum, 24 hours after the encounter I went for preventative medicine and test here in Massachusetts  (250mg Rocephen, 1mg Zithromax and a shot on Penicillin) all test were negative but I believe 24 hours would be the wrong time to test. You recommended I wait 48hr to have sex again, I waited over 4 days and had unprotected sex with my wife (in my last thread I called he my g/f by mistake)

I am deeply afraid that there was a treatment failure for Gonorrhea, Although I have had no discharge I did have some irritation but I think that was just from looking at and milking my penis to often (could just be in my head).  My wife on the other hand has had some pelvic pain which I kind of chalked up to womanly issues based on her cycle, but then she came down with a rash on her stomach. So my mind went to DGI and the recent problems that have come up in the growing amounts of cases of resistant Gonorrhea.

1) What are the signs of DGI? Can it happen as soon just as 8 days after exposure? Would it manifest in just a rash? It seems there are no joint pain or anything else and she hasn't mentioned discharge? I did read DGI is more common in women.

2) Is it possible in light of the Gonorrhea resistance issues  that the 250mg of Ceftriaxone did not prevent the Gonorrhea if infected? Was 4 days really enough time to cure me so as not to infect my wife?

In writing this I am looking reassurance that I didn't hurt myself or my wife.  I did see a gp and he told me I did the right thing by getting the medicine right after but the fact that my wife has this rash at this timing is really scaring me, enough to write to you.

Thanks

Was the regiment given to me 24 hours after my encounter enough to prevent incubating syphilis?

I am seeking therapy and agree my guilt/anxiety needs to be treated. I don't want to be ungrateful but a direct answer would be really appreciated.

Was the regiment given to me 24 hours after my encounter enough to prevent incubating syphilis?

I'm sorry to re post on such an old thread but my situation (and anxiety) have escalated.  My wife has become pregnant.  In the encounter that I wrote to you about previous in the thread I asked about the sexual contact pertaining to Gonorrhea. I did add that there was open mouth kissing because I thought it was of very little consequence.  Both my wife and I since the encounter have had canker sore ( mine was about 3.5 after the encounter). When treated 24 hours after the encounter I was given 2.4 million units of B-Penacilin (along with the Cefatriaxone and Zithromax). Was it possible to fail those treatments and syphilis did actually incubate.  Obviously I am scared given my wife is pregnant and I am assuming the regiment given was sufficient to cure the incubating syphilis (if present) and stop the spread to my wife but I am still seeking your reassurance.  Thank you for reviewing my thread

You are over reacting. Resistance to the treatment you received is not a concern.  Recent stories in the news about increasing resistance to ceftriaxone and the other antibiotics used to treat gonorrhea have emphasized the concern that problems could develop but it is not yet an issue. In your case, there has never been any indication you had gonorrhea and as I told you before, your risk for gonorrhea from the exposure was so low that the treatment you received was not warranted.  You did not hurt your wife.  Her rash is not a manifestation of gonorrhea that you gave her through the exposure you described.    Your guilt however is hurting you.  You need to figure out a way to move forward from this issue.
