STD or Urethra Irritation from a massage hand job

Hi. I have posted before (last fall) about a similar issue. But, this one a new case and I wanted to get your opinion.

9 days ago I had a massage. The massage had a release at the end (hand job), but that was about it (full clothed massage provider and no other touching). A day after I started getting a urethra irritation (at the opening), but no burning. I was concerned that I might have gotten an STD from the massage. Could I have?

I visited my urologist on Thursday. He checked my urine and said there were no bacteria/infection, but there were a few WBCs. He thought that there was no real way of getting an STD from a hand job, but did prescribe doxycyline for a week in case it was a prostate or other type of infection. He also knows that I have had a urethra irritation before and said the hand job (or the lotion) could have caused this irritation. Other than that, he could not tell me much.

With the information I have provided, do you think I have an STD? Any other thoughts? I really wanted to get a second opinion (yours) to help me manage this. The stress of not knowing what is going on is a big drag.

TIme is the essential ingredient needed to help this improve.  I would not suggest application of creams and lotions as they can be irritative and urge you to try not to focus on it.  EWH

Doctor...I thank you for getting back with me. My mind has been racing a bit and I am sure I am making the current situation worse because of it.

Can you recommend any resources (or actions that you know of) to speed this back to normal? I have searched the forums and have heard about irritations, but not solutions. Any advice would be appreciated (or pointing me to the appropriate resources).

Peace.

Welcome back to our Forum.  Your urethral irritation is not an STD.  I say this wilt complete confidence and without hesitation.  Masturbation by a fully clothed person will not give you and STD.  In addition I would point out that when person get symptomatic STDs, symptoms begin no sooner than two and more often, after 3 days.  It is likely that your urethra was irritated by the trauma of the masturbation if your partner was vigorous or, alternately that there was irritation from the lotion and its contact with your urethra.  This is consistent with both the exposure you describe and the timing of your symptoms

You really did not need treatment for this and have no reason for concern

Take care.  EWH
