STD worried

Three months ago I contracted a sex worker which performed oral sex on my penis without protection and then we have sex using condom. The next day a bit itchy rash appears around my penis (mostly on the glande), during the next days I didn't develop any further symptoms and eventually the rash disappear in a week.

I month ago I had vaginal sex with my girlfriend (by the time that I contracted the sex worker we were separated), 4 days later she develop very itching sensation and irritation on the vulva area and vaginal lips. In addition to the irritation and itching she presented a whitish thick vaginal discharge with no odor. She is 34 years old.

We immediately start the medication to treat vaginal thrush. We start a treatment with canesten cream but after 3 days the itching get worse, reason why we decide to change to another product with internal suppositories but without success. She also take a pill of fluconazole, but again we didn't have success.

I have to mention that when she get the internal suppository she got better at the third day but the she had the period and return to the initial point of itching and irritation.

Are these symptoms similar to any STD, I have read a lot about this but some time the description of the symptoms are very vague. If she does have a thrush why this doesn’t go away?

I really appreciate your help.

Best Regards

Very worried

Understood.

I suspect that part of the reason you notice these findings at the time or sex or masturbation is that this is the time when there is the most blood flowing to the penis. This makes any bumps or lesions, whther they are normal or not, more noticiable.

You GF's symptoms could be due to an STD such as gonorrhea, chlamdyia or herpes but it is unlikely and, as I said, more likely to be a coincidence.  If you do not have sypmtoms and have negative tests, then you have not given an STD to your GF.  EWH

Thank you very much for your answer..

Just for clarification. The rash that appears in my penis after have oral sex without condom with the CSW re-appeared one month later after masturbation. When I look at my penile I can notice some very small white dots and some areas partially irritated. The irritation appears or is increased when I have sexual activity.

The symptoms of my girl friend could be related to gonorrhea, chlamydia or herpes?

Welcome to the Forum.  I have several comments which I hope you will find helpful.

1.  The rash you experienced on the day following your contact with the commercial sex worker (CSW) was not an STD related to that contact. The signs and symptoms of STDs do not appear until more than two days following exposure. On the other hand, local irritation due to chemicals (such as might have been on the condom) or the condom itself might well cause irritation which was noticeable the next day.
2.  The symptoms that your girlfriend certainly sound like thrush (fungal infection).  sometimes the medications do not work right away but in your note you seem to say that she has been treated with two different medications.  it would be unusual (but still possible) for her to not respond to one of them.
3.  It is unlikely that your GF's discharge is related to your contact with the CSW two months earlier. It is more likely to have been a coincidence.
4.  At this time, it is my suggestion that your GF needs to be evaluated by a trained health care provider in order to find out what is causing her symptoms.  I doubt that it is thrush.

Hope these comments help.  EWH
