Dear Doctor, I am a 28 year old male and here is my case.
I had sex with a CSW and the condom broke. Ten days later I went to a doctor who ordered a STD test, at the same day I got the test. All results came back negative except HSV1 (titer 5.0) and HSV2 (titer 1.2), I have never had a symptom of herpes. Around the 10th week, I started to feel RUQ pain, so at the 12 week mark I got tested for HCV, HIV, and syphilis, results = negative
Week 24 I tested for HIV and HCV, both came back negative. Around week 34 I noticed that my urine had a distinct smell, like stale urine that has been siting there for a long time, therefore I paid a visit to the doctor again, he ordered an urine analysis and a HCV test. The urine showed no abnormalities, include no culture growth, and my HCV test was also negative.
Q1- I want to have a family but I don't want to infect my wife and the babe with herpes. Is it possible to have a family without infecting my wife?
Q2- In couple months, I start a new job that is very demanding and stressful, will this make me more susceptible to have breakouts of oral herpes or since I have never had them I may never develop the sores?
Q3- I am concerned about chlamydia because of three reasons: 1- some places say 7 days others say 4 weeks to have conclusive test (my test was at the 10 day mark), 2- my urine smells, 3- although the urine analysis showed no culture growth, I believe it does not help discard chlamydia since this bacteria would not grow in a regular culture. So do you think I should get a DNA test for chlamydia or my urine analysis test tells me there is no infection?
Q4- Are my 12 week syphilis / 24 week HIV/and 36 week HCV tests reliable?
Thank you so much for your opinion
