Hi Doctor,
I wrote to you last week about my fiance who had the vaginal discharge and a couple of "pimples near the vaginal area" the day after we had sex. I have been suffering from great anxiety that I transmitted any incurable STD to her. HIV is not a worry because we were both tested for HIV 3 months after sexual intercourse, and it came back negative.
I have never had any type of sores on my penis. Prior to being with my current fiance, I have always used a condom during sex. I did however did have some acne(not blisters) on my pubic hair area, but not on penis or scrotum 2 years ago, but I have never had it since. I remember once have acne on my buttocks(not blisters) once I have been diagnosed with follicilitus on my abdomen and maybe on my legs, so sopmetimes I get sores from that condition.
My fiance's problem occured about 10 days ago. Five days after the start of her symptoms , I went to the STD clinic. As far as the doctor at the STD clinic could tell, I did not have any STD but need full results from blood test which I will get in another week. The same day, I took her to the emergency room of the best hospital in our area (White Plains Hospital Center in NY). The female ER doctor examined my fiance's vagina, and pelvic regioni, and took a sample. After the doctor examined her, the ER doctor said she would treat me for "trich" also, but she took the sample to the back. I don't know if they did any type of test. They also took my fiance's Urine sample. After 30 minitues of waiting in the hospital room, the ER nurse came in and gave my fiance a shot in the buttocks and some pills to swallow. The doctor also prescribed Metrogel.
I asked the ER nurse if my fiance would be ok, and she said yes. they didn't even say she need to follow up with another doctor.
Anyway, I asked what my fiance was diagnosed with, and the ER nurse said "Bacterial Vaginitis".
We got the Metrogel the next day and used it that night. The next day her "pimples" were gone, and the "yellow discharge" had also stopped.
I called the hospital to talk to the ER doctor who saw my fiance and got a hold of her. The ER doctor said it was not serious, and my fiance had a cervicitus.
I talked to my primary care physician who spoke to the lab who ran the tests, any my primary care doctor said she will be ok.
I had gotten a 2 of misquito bite looking sore about 2 inches above my knee duirng the last 2 days, but these seem to be recurring during hot and humid spells. I went to the emercency room at the hospital and they told me its not an STD, but tney didn't take any swab or blood test. Do you think it could be an STD?
My question is this: Do you think my fiance has an incurable STD?
