Syphilis or other STD concern

On January 12 I went to a massage parlor. The lady gave me a massage and also sat on my back with a skirt on,, not sure if she had on underwear or not. she sat on my legs and my butt ,, she also gave me a handjob, and sucked my nipples and testicles ..   I saw a few lesions ,, one on her arm by wrist,, and 1 on her calf,, not sure what it was,,, kind of like red skin lesion,, couple centimeters,,  after the experience I became very anxious and started reading online all about STD..  13 days after the experience I had little upper respiratory infection, which i get often.. I went to the doctor and he gave me 10 days of doxycycline 2 times a day.     please help me to figure out what is going on..
could this be seconary syphilis..?  i never saw a chancre,,

Please believe your test results.  They are far more reliable than symptoms. EWH

I did have one other experience at a massage parlor in early November 12 or so,,I received oral.. with a condom.. for some reason i had in my mind the condom broke or had a hole in it,,      I started having frequent urination for weeks,, no pain or burning..
I went January 5 th and got tested for all STD's.. all was negative...
so could any of my symtoms now be related to that?
I have much anxiety over my experinces,, and do plan never to go back to one of those places,,,

thank you.. I have been so anxious..  what do you think would be another cause of my palms and fingers being so red?
I have had tremendous stress from my situation...  could anxiety cause histamine release and all these symtoms,,?
do any other STD's cause symtoms like mine?
or could all this be anxiety /stress driven?

Welcome to our Forum. The sort of exposure is extraordinarily low risk for acquisition of syphilis.  Further, syphilis is now a relatively unusual infection in women- over 2/3 of syphilis in the U.S. now occurs in  men who have other male sex partners.

It will be difficult for me to tell you what your rash an other symptoms might be due to but I can assure you that it was not syphilis. Doxycycline is a recommended therapy for established syphilis and, although the recommendation is for 14 days of therapy, I am confident that 10 days would have prevented infection in your case (only 7 days is needed for syphilis prevention while we treat established infection longer, as noted above.

The rash you describe while taking doxy may well have been a drug reaction (not really an allergy- there's sometimes a difference between a drug reaction and an allergy).

I would not worry about syphilis relate to the activities you describe.  I hope you find my comments reassuring. EWH
