Syphilis

I was concerned about contracting syphilis and plan to take a test (7 weeks out).  My concern is that last week i was on predison to treat an allergic reaction to a bee sting.  I know that this is not the treatment/cure for syphilis, but i was wondering if this would impact the accuracy of the test results.

Welcome back to the forum.  Thanks for a succinct question.

You needn't worry.  The syphilis blood tests are highly reliable and no medical conditions, including allergic reactions (to bee stings or anything else), have any effect on test reliability.  Your 7 week test result will be accurate.
