To Dr. Thanks for your time

hi, i am a 22 year old girl.
i have had vaginal problems for past 4 months, i have a white creamy discharge all the time and there is a bad odour aswell. i have been for 2 swabs and a smear test and all have came out negative, my doctor said there is nothing else he can do for me, i have tried changing my diet, washing powder, i avoid douching. i really dont know what else to do as it is effecting me and my boyfriend very much as i avoid sexual contact beacuse i feel dirty, please help

You are describing classic symptoms of bacterial vaginosis.  (I'll bet the odor seems worse after sex.)  Sounds like you need to see a different doctor; it isn't a difficult diagnosis, but some docs just aren't up to speed on it.  You might seek a good gynecologist; alternatively, most reproductive health clinics (e.g., Planned Parenthood or a health department family planning clinic) know how to recognize, diagnose and treat BV.

Good for you to not yield to the likely temptation to douche, which likely would make it worse.
