Too much Flagyl?

ok, here is the situation, had protected sex with a sex worker on friday, on wednesday i was looking in my urethrea and saw one drop of something white, but i had not masterbated the day before, so I took test for chlymadia and ghonorrea, which ultimately came back negative, on that same day (wednesday) began having irration in head of penis, irritation persised so on Sunday went to clinic and got ghonarrea shot, 1g azithromyacin, and 2g one time dose of flagyl.  started to feel better on tues, but stupidly i refilled my rx of flagyl and took anotehr 2g dose on tues.  After taking the second dose of flagyl, my entire penis started to burn, and it has been burning all day today (Wed) and have frequent urination.  I have not had any noticeable discharge or   My questions are these:

1) could the burning and frequent urination just be a symptom of too much flagyl?
2) could i have chlymadia even after the test?
3) could the second round of flagyl interfered with either the azythromyaxcin or the earlier dose of flagyl?

Welcome to our Forum.  It is not clear that you need the antibiotics that you took but, having taken them, if there was a  treatable STD, this would have treated it.  The burning on urination that you are experiencing is not a recognizable side effect of the flagyl you took and plenty of people take this much of the medication for other purposes so this should be OK.

In answer to your specific questions:
1) could the burning and frequent urination just be a symptom of too much flagyl?
See above.  NO.

2) could i have chlymadia even after the test?
You received the recommended therapy for chlamydia.  I would not worry about chlamydial infection at this time.

3) could the second round of flagyl interfered with either the azythromyaxcin or the earlier dose of flagyl?
No, this is not a concern.

Hope these responses are helpful.  I do not have a good explanation for your continuing burning on urination.  I would work with your doctor on this but would not worry that it is an STD unless other symptoms such as a rash occur.  EWH
