Various Symptoms..

Hi Doc

My case.  I had unprotected oral with another man on April 2, 2008.  He performed on me for about 5 mins and I performed on him for about 15 seconds( i didnt like it). Also, the guy licked my anus once..on the outside and i told him to stop.

After about a month i started to get a clear discharge from my penis(very little and it happens here and there, however when i drink alcohol it gets worse and some pain exists)..I had an Gon/Clyh test done (actually two) and both came back Negative.  The Dr. said they checked for infections in my urine as well..so I guess that ruled out NGU.

Because I was concerned the Dr. gave me 2grams of Azithromycin (taken all at once) and 5 days (twice daily) of Cipro.

I took them all last week i went to defecate and when I wiped i noticed blood on the toilet paper (this was after drinking alcohol the night before). It happened again on Monday morning and today (I didnt drink any alcohol since Sunday).  Now I am wondering if there is a link between my clear discharge which still exists but much more less and this issue??

I have an appointment with my Dr, but it not until later this week..im reall anxious about this all..

Thanks for the information.

Logically, I think that the bleeding might have been caused by lack of sleep (i was travelling in a different timezone, as well as stress and excessive use of alcohol) in conjunction with those antibiotics that did cause bad diaharrea.

Regardless..I will follow up with my DR..and if it is anything important i will report back.

Regards and Goodnight

Your discharge is not an STD.  the likely candidates from your exposure are gonorrhea and NGU.  Both have been ruled out with the testing that was performed and, in case the testing was performed incorrectly some way (very doubtful), you have been (over)treated for gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU.  From time to time men have small amounts of discharge for reasons that are not clear but are not infection-related.  I would guess that this is what is going on with you.

With regard to the blood noted on your TP, your exposures are not consistent with a rectal STD of any sort and, if they were, the symptoms you describe would not be suggestive of STD either.  Hemorrhoids?  other?? but not STD.

At this point seeing a doctor is the right thing to help you evaluate non-STD causes of the rectal blood.  As for the urethral discharge, nothing to worry about.  EWH
