Oral Gonorrhea

Hi Doc.  Me again but I am posting here because this is not an HIV question.  Over the last 3 months I have performed Oral sex on 3 TS CSWs  2 was protected and one was not.  None to ejaculation.  The one that was not protected I did not notice anything on or in the penis.  No drip or anything.  Does not mean it was not there but it was bright in the room.  This was for about 3 to 4 minutes.  She never got fully erect.  The other two were protected.  One performed oral sex on me protected and all three masterbated me to completion.  Two of them masterbated themselves to completion. Given these scenarios, do think I need to test for anything.  I know I am low risk for anything but Gonorrhea and HSV.  But what do you think the odds of getting anything?  The only "symptoms" I have had is a sore throat for about 3 1/2 weeks.  This started about 3 days after the last encounter and about 3 weeks after the middle encounter.  I know that only about 10% or oral gonorrhea has a sore throat symtom and most times it is symptomatic but in the 10% when would it start and how long could it last.

Secondly, On the tip of my penis, I have little red spots which seem to intensify when I am erect.  Just on the tip above the forskin.  It is not painful or itchy more than normal I dont think.  I am not sure when this starting but it might be a while now.  Like months or even years.I know it was like this for a least 2 months.  But it coul dbe much longer..it is just that I am looking more due to my encounters  which have stopped by the way.  Anyway, do you think this is dematological or std related...or could it even be stress?

Lastly could my throat issue be stress as I am on pins and needles again.  Last time.  For Sure.

Really appreciate it.

Thanks

As I said, I doubt that your sore throat is gonorrhea.  You have to decide if you wish to be tested.  I would not.

Thanks for the clarification on the spots.  That they don't go away will be in your favor when you see a dermatologist since then he/she will be able to examine you and see the problem.  What you have described still does not sound at all like an STD.  Please let us know what the dermatologist says.

Even if you had gonorrhea, you would not transmitt it through kissing.  This isnot a concern.  Similarlry, I would not feel the need to abstain.   EWH

thank you for your response. I am hoping this sore throat. Goes away but I will most likeley test next week. Given this scenario would you test? The spots on the penis don't usually go away. At least not that I noticed. I am sure I have had the for at least 2 months but not sure how long. Still prob not an STD I would think right?  Lastly, can oral gonorrhea be transmitted through kissing?  I would think not but I can't find that answer. Even though it is likely I don't have it would you suggest that I absatin from sex with my girlfriend?  Kissing or otherwise?  That is my big cocern.
Thanks. I

I would not worry too much about your risk for oral gonorrhea from the exposures you describe.  The protected exposures are no risk and of no concern (neither are the masturbation exposures for that matter).  As for your unprotected exposures, as you point out, your pre-exposure inspection did not show any obvious infections and, as you point out, most gonorrhea is symptomatic.  Finally, most exposures to infected persons actually do not lead to infection.  Putting all of this, I think you are at low risk but not no risk for oral gonorrhea.  You have to use this information to decide if you want to get tested.  Personally, I would not worry too much.

As for the red spots which come and go on your penis but the spots you describe do not sound like any typical STD and is far more suggestive of some sort of dermatological process.  If the penis goes back to normal for some of the time, and the process is not getting worse, my suspicion is that this is not a health problem.  I am confident it is not an STD.

Hope this helps.  EWH
