Worrying again

Once again I am here questioning.  I got my test at the Cleveland Clinic June 2005. It came back negative, my white cells were normal and my T-cells were in adequate numbers' the situation that I am worrying about was 8+ years ago, with a man that used drugs. My mouth hurts and I am going to the bathroom alot.  I was told to get another test in 6 months from a local Health Center....why?  I thought these tests were 99.99% reliable.  Am I crazy or just paronoid? If you have HIV, do you get better?  and then get worse again?  or do you just keep getting worse?  I am going a little crazy........

You clearly do not have HIV; something else is causing your sore mouth and frequent need to use the bathroom.  My guess the doctor told you to have another test in 6 months either because s/he assumed you continue at risk, or because you were anxious and asked (or implied) that you want or need more assurance.

You should ask your health care provider for advice about your anxiety and why you can't shake your fear of HIV, which is not rational in view of the evidence.  I'm sorry I can't help further.

Thank you, I am going out of my mind with worry and again don't know enough. I guess I am becoming a hypochondirac, also the situation when this happened was not the best.  I am and was married at the time, I was at a party and drank to much and ended up having sex with this man.  I found out he uses drugs, is now in prison for rape and I guess am just flipping out. I have also been sick all summer with C-dif and can't seem to shake the going to the bathroom thing, that coupled with my mouth problems have just let me to continue to think the worst....

If the incident you are worried about occurred 8 years ago and you were just tested, then you DO NOT HAVE HIV. (as a result of that encounter).
You dont have it, end of story.

No, really, theres nothing more to discuss.  you dont have it, move on.
