Yellow urine like ejaculate=std?

Hello,
I have had protected sex and unprotected oral sex (with some rimming too)with 3 different escorts over the past several months. The last time was about 9 days ago. About 2 weeks to 10 days ago when I masturbated my semen is yellowish and more liquidy than usual. It has remained this way since then and it now definitely seems like it is part urine and part ejaculate. It spurts out very liquidy and almost more like a urine spurt except there is some ejaculate too. I also have some urinary frequency although this just started after I got worried. I have never had a problem with ejaculation before. Is this chlamydia or gonorreah? I have had no burning urination and I dont see any discharge although some dribbly urine after i zip up my pants.

I am a 31 year old male, Seattle. I did rush to the doctor yesterday to get urinalysis and other STD tests but i am very worried about the results. It seems it has to be something bad. Is prostate cancer also possible? Thanks.

Sorry, I have no further advice.  This forum deals strictly with STDs -- we don't attempt to address non-STD genital symptoms.  All I can suggest is that you continue to discuss your symptoms with the urologist.  Good luck.

Another update. I saw the urologist but he could find nothing wrong. However I am still having the urine like ejaculate. I dont know what to do now? He said if it was still like that in a month or so to come back.

Hello Dr,
Just an update. The office got the results back in already and urine and blood test results were negative for any stds. Only abnormality is liver is still high (must be higher than 80 ALT)and was higher than last time. I am going in for an appt. to ask to get referred to the urologist. Im still having the same urine at ejaculation issue.

I suppose it is possible that vigorous prostate massage could have resulted in trauma that now explains this problem.  However, it seems more likely that the discomfort (maybe overt pain?) during the massage was evidence of prostatitis that already was present and is now causing your symptoms.  I'll be interested in hearing the outcome if and when you have seen a urologist or other expert in male urogenital medicine.

Im sorry things are trickling back to me. Early last week when I saw the escort the most recent time she did do a prostate massage on me which really was not a good feeling and lasted too long. I do kind of have a weird feeling from the anal opening to the taint area. Now that you bring up prostate inflammation im wondering if this could be a cause? And actually I know I said 10-14 days ago was when I started noticing the urine semen but it may have been after this last incident.

Ok but otherwise I will definitely get back to you when I get test results. Thank you so much!

Your sexual contacts with your ex-GF could suggest STD risk.  Still, the main urethral STDs (gonorrhea, chlamydia) don't normally cause the symptoms you describe.  Still, I'm glad you're being tested.

Your other medical problems (liver enzymes, thyroid) don't have any bearing on the STD risks or your current symptoms.

Urethral discharge isn't mysterious.  Independent of urination, the penis drips cloudy mucus or pus.  You would not mistake it for urine.

However, the urinary dribbling you mention is consistent with partial urethral obstruction, which can occur with prostate problems.  So this may go along with the recent change in the character of your semen.  Therefore, this also reinforces the need to see your doctor or a urologist.  You need to do that regarldess of the results of the STD test results you are waiting for.

Also I did forget to mention a big one. I did have an ex girlfriend off and off late last year and beginning of 2013. We did have unprotected vaginal sex several times but the last time was February. Since then i have only had bloodwork and HIV tests. HIV was negative and all hepatits were negative. I have had elevated liver enzymes which prompted the hepatits tests but those were negative. Also I am hypothyroid. I dont know that this info helps but I forgot about it in a rush to post. Thank you for your answer. I wont have results until next Wednesday at my doctors.

I have another question about urethral discharge. when is this? I mean does this happen when not urinating, when urinating, after urinating? I am having dribbly urine and sometimes frequent urination.

Welcome to the forum.

This symptom could be due to inflammation of your seminal vesicles (the sacs where semen collects between ejaculations) or prostate gland.  Note that "inflammation" isn't the same as infection.  No STDs typically cause infection or inflammation of either the prostate or seminal vesicles.  It may happen sometimes, but if so, this is rare.  Of the STDs potentially acquired by oral sex, gonorrhea is the main one I would be concerned about -- but this is very unlikely in the absence of an obvious urethral discharge, usually yellow and pus-like, and painful urination.

I would recommend you see your primary care provider, or a urologist.  I doubt any STD will be found, and I doubt this probably has anything to do with the sexual exposures described above.

Please return with a follow-up comment outcome after you have been professionally evaluated.  I'll be interested to hear how this turns out.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD
