are these symptoms STD related?

Hi Dr, I apologize for submitting the same question on multiple forums but haven't had any answers and also there have been new developments.  My current symptomatology is that on the shaft of my penis, there are about 4 separate linear lesions that are raised and red and seem to go along my skin folds.  Initially they did not hurt, but over the last day and a half, small sports along the lesions have kind of become eroded and raw and are very painful, especially when i touch it or wash the area.  Part of the area also looked slightly wet and clear although there is no frank discharge.  I do not see any round vesicles or sores.  Can these be atyplical herpetic or STD related lesion?  Or just irritation?
Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi doctor,
My blood tests were negative.  My partner's came back as follows:
HSV1 IGG 3.88
HSV2 IGG 0.04

How should these be interpreted?  She has never had symptoms, oral or genital.

My symptoms have evolved to now what appears to be a part of my foreskin is very inflamed, red, and swollen.  Very tender as well.  I did go to an urgent clinic and were prescribed antifungal medications.  Is it possible that HSV1 can give me these types of symtpoms?
Thanks

Again, I doubt that this is HSV.  You could seek evaluation at a local STD clinic.

Bacitracin can cause local skin reactions. EWH

Thank you for your help.  I am a bit freaking out over this whole situation but unfortunately I have no insurance right now and even the urgent cares are asking for too much for me to afford at this time.  My partner however is going to get blood tests today and she has been the only one I have had sex with since my last checkup (which were neg for everything including HSV 1 and 2).  Her last sexual encounter other than me was about 3 or 4 months ago so i'm hoping that this will provide some information.
As a side note, I did put on some bacitracin and antifungal cream on to the cuts (or what appeared to be cuts initially).  Do you think the antifungal cream could have made it worse?

I see that Terri has just answered your question on the HSV Forum.  I agree with her.  While there is a substantial likelihood that this is not HSV, it could be an atypical presentation.  The most direct way to address this is to have a PCR or culture test performed on the lesions.  If you choose to do this, the preferred test is PCR and most commercial labs do offer it. further, I should point out that lesions do NOT need to be blisters or moist for the PCR tests to be helpful (some doctors are unaware of this)  and secondly that a blood test for HSV will be of little help in determining what these lesions are.

I hope this comment is helpful. EWH
